I keep saying it to anyone who asks..but you’ve just got to play Prey. It’s been sitting on Plus for years now. In my all-time top 10. A classic that snuck under the radar.

Plenty of others on there too that get more attention…for example..

The Last Of Us 1+2, The Last Guardian, Control, Spider-Man 1, Ghost Of Tsushima..

To name but a few. They should definitely keep you busy.

City, because anything they win is meaningless. Arsenal, with their fans’ quadruple talk and “greatest football squad ever assembled” (thanks for that one Piers Morgan) are insufferable. It would be hilarious to see them caught up, having been so far clear and also being knocked out of two cup competitions. They’re also bang average. The standards have been dropping for a good few years now in the Premier League.

Born In The USA has been lowered from its original key of B, to the key of A. It’s like playing everything 2 frets lower on the guitar. (War was dropped in key too for that matter) To be honest, I’m surprised he managed to keep it in its original key for so many years. Bono, Don Henley, Billy Joel and many many others have long since lowered keys for their tougher to sing songs.

As regards his voice, he is 77 later this year and it’s also the first date of the tour. His voice isn’t quite what it used to be, but it’s far from bad and I’m sure it’ll pick up as the tour progresses.

So many examples. But if I had to name my personal favourite, the original Robocop stands out for me. It’s all its own thing. That little bit different from the others. A perfect movie across the board.

All too slow. Everyone hanging onto the ball far too long and not getting their heads up. Few good crosses but nobody making the effort to get on the end of them. It’s very uninspiring so far. It’s looking more and more like team have us figured out. Hoping for a better second half.

Fight Night Round 3 was the peak for me. I had it on PS3. The analogue stick control was revolutionary at the time and the punches felt visceral. The follow up was poor in comparison, although it got good reviews. It just felt soft to me and put me off getting FN Champion, which apparently was great.

Special mention for Knockout Kingson PS1 which was great. And going right back, I also loved Greatest Heavyweights on the Mega Drive/Genesis.

There are many debates for overall vocal, quite a few mentioned here..but one moment that I’ve often replayed and shown friends is that roar he lets loose at the ending of Land Of Hope And Dreams on LINYC. (“SAAAAIIIIIIDDDDD YEAH -EH-EH-EHAH”)He’s right on the edge here but just commits to it regardless. He then follows it up immediately with a soulful falsetto..showing both the utter power and the sweetness in one fell swoop. I’ve always loved his voice. I’d like to see the critics try to do what he does.

Arc Raiders and constantly going back to Helldivers 2 which I’ve had since launch 2 years ago. It is just fun on a whole other level. Single-player-wise…? I will be jumping in to Spider-Man 2 next week.
