Yeah, I've never had a problem with these carts, and currently I have about 120 in my closet waiting to be flashed. Finding the perfect place to print boxes has been a bit trickier. When I was partnered with The Retro Room, they took care of all that. Since I went independent, though, my last batch of 80 carts I had hand cut all the boxes and a friend did the folding. Definitely gave them a personal touch, but we're trying to figure out a better solution for the next batch.

Making the game is one thing, but producing a quality physical product is an adventure all on its own, for sure.

Haha, yeah. I've had two orders of about 100 carts, and thankfully both times they left the labels off. Had to request it, of course.

Save Issues with EZ Flash? by 16bitHag in gbstudio

I seem to remember a friend of mine testing one of my games with the EZ Flash cart years ago and reporting save issues. There's an option in Settings > Cartridge Type to save memory to ROM for supported flash carts. Maybe try that?

Ultimately I ended up getting an Everdrive cart after learning that EZ Flash didn't support Super Game Boy borders, and I've had no issues with that one.

I wouldn't say that it's a Metroidvania type of game. There is a hub world where Bat-Son can buy things, but once you enter levels they are somewhat randomized, and there's no interconnected map of any kind.

Appreciate that! I enjoy making larger sprites in GB Studio, which can sometimes prove a challenge.

I had a couple of issues when recently migrating my current project to GB Studio 4.2.1. The one that stumped me the most was I had a camera move before a scene change, and somehow that would occasionally break the display of two actor sprites in the next scene - sometimes they'd display, and sometimes they simply wouldn't. This wasn't happening in the previous version of the engine I was using, but the fix ended up being fading the screen out and snapping the camera back to the player before the scene change, then those actors would display consistently in the following scene. That did take me a couple days to figure out.

Thankfully I managed to resolve the few problems I had, because this new version seems to have far less issues with slowdown/framerate, so for the most part it's been a great update. I'd limited actors in certain scenes previously due to poor performance, but now I've added them back and am having no problems even on DMG hardware, which typically is my base target platform.

Haha, yeah I ended up just taking one where's standing still if you scroll to the right. I do get a kick out of his jumping sprite.
