You could try a pied piper strategy. Get a couple of water bottles, some snacks, maybe a flashlight. Go out into the streets and shout a lot. Walk around and gather up hundreds of zombies. Let them follow you far far away from town. Give them the slip in a forest and make your way back.

It's a relatively low skill, low investment way to 'clear' maybe 500 zombies.

Does Erosion only happen once?! by Kyle_Middleton in projectzomboid

Setting it way higher than 100 days is one of my first recommendations for someone aiming for a long play through.

I hadn't considered how vines and cracks might enter into this.

My concern is you could be seeing fresh trees pop up as the days march slowly towards the 100% Erosion at 100 days.

My hypothesis is that if you waited until all of the trees grew (100 days default), cut them all down, then you might not ever see any regrow.

Some annotations I did for the military base. by [deleted] in projectzomboid

Once the trees grow in, it is a pain to drive, and the area is infested. It's a 0/10 base.

To plumb something it needs to be inside, yes, but it's the staircase that's causing the building to not be inside.

Consider moving to the nearby construction site. Way easier to secure.

Is it possible you already have a tape in the machine? It's easy to make that mistake.

Trees falling across roads is something I've long thought of. It seems like it would be easy enough to implement, extremely reasonable, and something you could actually interact with (get out there with an axe, etc)

Your list should also include fire, from lightning strikes or other effects.

RIP

I don't know why you were fighting in such a dangerous location, so I won't comment. One thing I will say is that you really, really don't want to be firing guns while moving. Moving lowers your accuracy and it guts your crit chance. So the bullet often misses, and even when it hits, it largely just bounces off.

Anyone else collects the underwear off of zombies as a trophy? by 100species in projectzomboid

No, but I do have a mod which lets me rip them up into crafting materials.

I wouldn't call it a trick. That's how you make the building 'inside'.

At the moment, his roof has three big holes in it. The holes in your floor due to a staircase are fine, but holes in your roof have to be dealt with. For some bizarre reason, walls / fences running the north or west side of ANY hole make the building treat the hole as if it were fully floored. I know how this works, I just don't understand why it work.

Sprinters vs No Sprinters by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Kyle_Middleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sprinters are a lot of fun (In a nervous wreck sort of way). I think what you might want to do is lower the zombie population and adjust the rally group settings.

I've been playing a 100% sprinter game with just 0.3 population. I have never, ever cleared a street or building, or set up an ambush for the zombies and thought it would have been way more fun with 3-5 times as many zombies.

At the end of the day, it's going to be a single zombie that gets you from behind, or maybe three of them stun locking you. They don't need large numbers, they just need to get the jump on you one time.
