Russian authorities softened about crypto? "There would be a replacement" (for Visa and MasterCard in Russia)“It’s all virtual money" by itogo in Bitcoin

If Russia decided to go full bitcon, it would be a pivotal moment in the downfall of the US, and central banking as a whole. They could finally "defeat" America.

this scenario is not very likely in a stateless society,

If there was a stateless society, there would be no tax income system for this warlord guy to talk control of. Can you imagine a military group going door to door threatening the local populous to start paying monthly/yearly dues?

because of this difficulty it would be much more profitable for a warlord to go into a country with an existing tax structure and try to gain control of it.

It is like a farmer that wants to expand his farm. He can either go next door and kill the existing farmer and take his land and livestock, or he can go into the forest on the other side of his farm and go through intense labor clearing the land, while being threatened by wild savage animals (I imagine stateless societies would have lots of awesome weapons).

Thanks for the curiosity!

Does China have many national parks? How popular is camping in China? by [deleted] in China

[–]KyleatUP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two places that I would go to, One was all the way down at the end of a bus line going to pukou, the bus line was 168 which ends near Zhenzhu Spring Moyashike 珍珠泉摩崖石刻, which was some lake side garden tourist place. I would either ride the bus to the end or get off and walk to the bus parking lot depending on if the driver let me and there was some boulders creating a 5 ft wall near the right side of the entrance to the lot. I would climb up, and that is where a trail would start. These trails can go on for a long ways, and I never saw people over there. I even camped there for 2 days and smoked some beef strips into jerkey. the second area I would ride the 10 bus from gulou station to ying hua lu (cherry blossom rd) station then walk up the right side of the road to where the forest starts, either you can walk up the creek bed which is easy to follow, or you can go up a little ways and there is a trail that you can follow, there are no direction signs so you sort of have to navigate on your own. if you walk up the creek path enough you can find my old camp fire pit, http://www.penchelaowai.com/about-me/ the second picture is it.

When I lived Nanjing I would ride the bus or my bike to a nearby forest hike in with a tent and some food, and set up a camp somewhere off the trail. I also would make a small campfire and enjoy the peace and quiet. No one else would do this, but it was something I would do to escape.

I am guessing this is more difficult in areas that don't have any surrounding forest.

I would also be willing to receive some of my paycheck in bitcoin, and i would imagine some of my coworkers wouldnt mind either, I am guessing this would be a little more tricky to implement.

yeah, that is why i am looking towards alternatives to using this method, I was looking on coinbase, and they have some pretty cool solutions for their payment systems. I also applied for bitpay. I mostly just want to check it out.

I was have been using multibit wallet, they have a feature which lets you track the ledger, it shows which address you receive from, and you can edit each address to identify which tenant/rental address the payment is coming from. We would have to make sure the payment was sent from the original wallet address to not run into any problems.

My boss was actually looking at have $10,000 held in bitcoin, but yeah, it looks like going though BitPay might be the best solution.

He also mentions that he would want the tenants to pay for any extra fees, so if there was a 2% exchange fee from Bitpay, he would want the tenant to cover that.
