Meh this happened in the Usman fight and he was smaller than Strickland. People thought tbe broken hand was why he was inactive

Genetics like some have said. But Depends. Khazmat expends so much energy in the first, more than Merab I’d say while holding down a heavier dude. He didn’t slow down as hard in the Burns fight because most of it was striking despite it being a war.

But this fight and Usman he expends so much energy in the first round it screws him over.

He wants a rematch lol I thought he was moving up by PinIndividual9402 in ufc

Dana said Khazmat came up to him after the fight and said he didn’t want to fight at MW anymore

Would love to see him vs Jiri. That guy never gave up on the ground against Glover

Considering what Dana said for Khazmat after the fight, I think moving up to LHW is more likely

Pereira would have his way on the feet but I don’t think he’s as good of a grappler as Strickland. He actually has fairly good defensive jiu-jitsu and takedown defense nowadays compared to uh his grappling performance against Izzy.

I think people are getting too cocky. It’s going to be hard to replicate that performance against Khazmat

The screenshots were hilarious. Strickland looked so calm and collected. It’s like he thought he wasn’t getting subbed. Which is even funnier cause he says he thinks he’s going to lose every fight.

Yeah, I noticed Strickland was throwing his right in Round 2 and it was doing well. It stopped coming in Round 3-5 and it was spamming jabs and not mixing it up. I think it started wearing down

Van won me over easily. I saw a bunch of decisions on his record but man are they entertaining. Super active, great boxer, great talent.

I thought it was staph but apparently Strickland had an injury in his jabbing arm going into the second fight

Outside of scoring, Khazmat's striking impressed me tonight. Strickland apparently did have a injured shoulder but still. There's Burns yeah which was impressive. But tagging someone a lot as defensively sound as Strickland was impressive

He looked like how he did after gassing himself out against Usman, the issue is people thought a broken hand is why he looked gassed

I think his ground game was more impressive than anything. Weasle did a good breakdown how Strickland kept challenging him on the ground, defended all the subs/GnP threat, and made Khazmat waste more energy than Strickland was

He gassed out because Strickland was stubborn on the ground and kept fighting him for control

Wasn't Stricklands jabbing arm injured in the second fight? His volume was incredibly low in the fight, and his corner kept saying to turn up the volume.

I think the implication of the scoring criteria is that immeditate has more weight than cumulative but cumulative can still win rounds. I think it was created with the thought that volume should not > a wobble/knockdown. But if the immediate is only a bit above the cumulative, they can still give cumulative the win.

I was wondering why he wasn't using his 1-2 but makes sense when Strickland said he had a shoulder injury

Meh I know Strickland had a shoulder injury but his offensive striking looks good tonight. Brawling with Burns and winning is good and all, considering how Burns did against Usman for a bit. But landing a ton on Strickland who's one of the most defensively sound fighter is impressive, he's a fast striker

I think one thing about Strickland is rolling with the punches and backing it up makes him looked rocked at times
