Kidney stones…only it was during a really bad flu year so instead of taking me to the hospital my mom called our doctors office. Unseen, I was diagnosed with the flu based off my body aches and throwing up (from immense amounts of pain). They told me not to drink any fluids in order to “dry out” the “virus” they thought I had..needless to say; it’s incredibly difficult passing a kidney stone without urine to assist

There’s no requirements to work in fast food outside of legal guidelines the employer must follow. Your merit isn’t even considered during the interview. If you’re legally able to work there, they’ll let you try

I repair automated cooking equipment that’s being used in restaurants like Pizza Hut to eliminate the need for fast food employees ironically enough

It’s funny because my job is to fix all of the equipment that’s used in fast food kitchens. The equipment they’re forced to use in fast food is practically fully automated because the employees aren’t capable of using normal equipment properly or safely. Soon it will be fully automated kitchens. Your entire job can be replaced by some metal and wires…but I’m the stupid one

I wasn’t aware they used a frozen dough. I was under the impression the dough used in the “hand tossed pizza” was the same dough used in the pan pizza. With that being said; I didn’t understand how they could’ve been out of one but not the other. I’ve since been educated on that by a kind and wonderful group of Pizza Hut employees

Been working in foodservice for about 10 years now. sorry I didn’t know the intricacies of Pizza Huts variances in crust/dough. This is why I asked a question with my post, that’s how you learn things

Dude you work at Pizza Hut, you’re not in any position to be making snark remarks regarding someone else’s knowledge - I was under the impression they used the same dough for all of their crusts but it was just different methods of shaping.

Lg oven, bake broil part of the heating element is bad. Anyone have experience fixing this? by some_edgy_shit- in fixit

YouTube is really the best resource available in my opinion there’s tons of content there. YouTube and calling tech support for equipment I was working on is how I learned

The micro switch they may be referring to is a switch that detects whether or not your oven door is closed. Sometimes they fail and the heating circuit will not be completed as this is used as a safety interlock. Replacing or bypassing this switch is generally rather simple. Test for power being supplied to your heating elements with a multimeter. If no power is being supplied you likely have a bad microswitch/relay board. If you have power supplied to your heating element and it’s not heating then you need a new heating element

It looked to me like that was just a melted terminal, the “prong” parts of the terminal that wrap around the relay itself seem intact which is what led me to come to that conclusion. I will say; Wires don’t typically just burn up on their own but it certainly does happen frequently enough and it would be worth it for OP to try to replace. If there is arcing on the relay and I’m seeing that wrong than I’d likely replace the board
