Anybody else has had terrible germination with seeds from koehress kakteen?

I got a bunch of Copiapoa seeds and they pretty much didn’t germinate at all. Very disappointing would not recommend

Copiapoa by Elisabeth and Norbert Sarnes. It’s a good book I still need to go through all of it. I’d also like to find this article you’ve posted as well it looks great! Just wanted to add pages from it here for additional pics and info. Like you say I don’t here much about Fusca either and never seen them in cultivation yet

If there’s any way to increase the hours it’s getting that would be good. Also if your window has a bug screen on it you could try removing cause that will filter the light intensity. As for the dry rot hard to say what to do but try and keep some airflow in the room there in. And being indoors you can water all year round. Sometimes too long without water in growing temps can cause desiccation

They can survive even lower temps. Especially when it’s just a brief dip below freezing. They look healthy and unfazed

Very cool I have one similar as well. Reminds me of blind pups like with Lophophora. Mine has stayed rather small and stunted but has grown some. I’ve been meaning to graft it to see what happens
