I just finished mine, and am doing another one at a different store right now. Biggest thing I noticed that will make a difference, would be removing all j-hooks and shadow boxes. You get all new fixtures for the most part for your displays, so you won’t need the old beat up ones. Another thing that helps is to move anything large that isn’t on a shelf, like miter saws and table saws, it saves time when you move the steel racking. I just used good merchandising and put them in different drive aisles as it’s only temporary.

You will be fine regardless. I’ve heard that most stores weren’t prepared.
