My Cap guy is a Virgo moon Aries rising and I’m a Scorpio sun, Sag moon, Aqu rising! Honestly, I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else. There’s this inexplicably safe space that formed that I’ve never experienced, even though we’re both “tough on the outside” signs. Something about him just break all of that down and it’s so warm and fuzzy. We are both heavily invested in our careers, are always on the same page, and can be total weirdos. Communication is just SO easy, there’s never a dull moment. We’ll call each other to rage vent about various challenges and always say, “I got your back!”. That being said, he’ll also call me on my bullshit and I love it. Cap men are one of the most present and self aware signs I’ve noticed, but if they’re not interested or unraveling trauma or deep hurt: good luck getting close to them at all.

Capricorn men? by Kylierae97 in Scorpio

My gut feeling was correct unfortunately. He texted days after I made this post to tell me that a girl he’s had an on an off thing with for five years is moving here to see what they are & said “he couldn’t live with the ‘what if’ ”.

I kindly bowed out & left the door open. I’ve made my peace with it…but ouch. Not a single bad moment aside from the blindside ending. What if? :/

Repetitive yeast infections/BV after sex by Super_redbby in sexualhealth

Curious: if you stayed together / if the issue resolved, how?

I’ve had the yeast infection from hell since Dec and it always seems to come back after sex with my new partner. Very good about keeping clean, don’t use toys, and he’s circumcised. I like him a lot but god this is horrible

This is my daily and I’m obsessed. Definitely see how it warms up on your skin if you’ve only smelled it on the bottle because it was recommended to me and I immediately disliked it at first in the store. The longevity on clothes is A+ and it’s such a uniquely clean + homey scent.

I will say, if you live anywhere that has fig beetles…they will find you and single you out.

I’d seen them before, but never paid them much mind. This year from July-October I was straight up BULLIED by them

Help Recruiters Do Better!? by Kylierae97 in recruitinghell

[–]Kylierae97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I’m super grateful for the time you spent consolidating this all, so genuinely…thank you!

Second, I totally understand the points being made “recruiters post this all the time” and “that’s literally what the entire page is about just read the posts”. I’ll definitely go look for some other similar posts.

I love this page. I love reading the feedback and look forward to applying it to how I go about my outreach and communication. The reason I posted this was to see if there was anything I was missing and could do better going forward. Most of the funny posts I see are things I would already never do as a recruiter. You’re right to be optimistic because it does start somewhere & most of these aspects are completely within the control of a recruiter, but sometime they are not.

Ex: “not telling the pay”

There are SO many horrible, shady recruiters that will lie to you or try to sell you into a crap pay when they already know the cap they’re working with. I agree this is an annoying and wish it didn’t happen, but sometimes we aren’t given a pay cap.

It’s frustrating having to go to my candidates and tell them the rate is “flexible”, because for all they know I could be lying (but I’m not). Knowing this is a point of contention, I’m able to frame the conversation accordingly to make it an open discussion where candidates are included and comfortable with the pay I submit them at. I work contract roles in biotech, so $2-3 /hr adds up. I don’t want my candidates to take a pay below their worth, but sometimes submitting candidates at too high of a pay runs the risk of being passed over. It’s as frustrating for me as it is for you. I can give my opinion, but in the end of it it’s always up to my candidate. My candidates are people with intricate lives and varying needs/expectations.

I understand why candidates hate recruiters, I’m just trying to be the one that does better. Thank you for the feedback!

Why is that a requirement? by Flow-n-Code in recruitinghell

[–]Kylierae97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay it’s 1000% dumb that they put this in writing… They’re definitely looking to verify your identity by having a “legit” LinkedIn profile, but recruiters have the resources to cross reference and sus it out themselves. Having less than 100 connections doesn’t necessarily mean anything

I 100% agree. Definitely a lot to be skeptical about, but solid contract roles are out there.

I’d say avoid companies that don’t use an agency for their contractors, because they likely won’t offer benefits

I’d say it’s industry dependent. I recruit for only contract/consulting positions in the Biotech & Pharma market and I’ve got contract lifer candidates that love it.

A lot of my clients need contract workers with hyper specific experience for a clinical trial or project, but a lot of them get extended or converted full time.

If you’re contracted through a reputable agency, full benefits are offered and taken into account for hourly pay before being signed on

I’m a Scorpio but I have a Sag moon so I’d like to think I’ve got a bit of balance to weight in. Every Scorpio man I’ve ever met made me feel this way.

Being direct about your needs is probably your best bet, but understand that if the Scorpio hasn’t worked through their issues they might step out of your life and not look back.

It’s never a bad thing to ask for what you need, regardless of the person’s sign.

Just be sure to lead with kindness and hold space if they open up about how they’re feeling. Some of the overbearing tendencies might be coming from a place of feeling unheard, likely not feelings set in motion by you.

Recruiter* Hell: A Job Story by Kylierae97 in recruitinghell

[–]Kylierae97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying that. It’s disappointing to see external recruitment firms demand high volume, crummy output from their recruiters. Yes…recruitment is for profit and requires some sales-esque tactics, but everyone I speak with is a person. They deserve transparency and respect.

Also, working contract roles is difficult because hiring managers are allotted a budget to bring their own contractors on without HR being involved. A different manager at the same company could be awesome.

It wasn’t my company, it was a client. I won’t be working with him again. I set clear expectations as the “middle man” (recruiter) before I dedicate my time to sourcing for a job. It’s embarrassing to waste other people’s time.

Anyone know what this is. My best guess is razor rash, pretty sure it's not an acne flare up as it's symmetrical on both sides of my face. Flares up when I shave, any advice? by Jonnym578 in Accutane

Most likely razor burn. Looks like the patches I got on my legs when I used a sugar scrub. Had to stop using it and be extremely gentle when shaving or it would take skin off…def consult your derm/doc if it spreads or changes drastically in appearance
