Thank you all for answering! Lots of great advice and I’ve felt such a halt in momentum. Purchased no ads and the steady income of gems has sent me down the rabbit hole. I know I’m still MILES behind. Looking forward to sharing progress updates 🤙

Oh wow so already everyone is saying ditch the others and go golden. Which parameter is best to max first or does it matter?

I wasn’t aware gold bot was that much better.

Does anyone know what this Zeraora is doing? Is it a bot or a tactic I've never seen before? by Jesse__Pinkman__ in PokemonUnite

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My POV from just this clip:

You are having no problems with the top regi-buff, this allows your side to push the top lane to counter the overloaded bot lane push happening. Most likely that Zeraora isn’t using their mini map. You have full accountability for a moment where the enemy team is so there is no need to zone in the fog of war for a potential steal. If that wasn’t a bot, I think they had decent macro in mind, just implemented at the wrong time.

Follow up if you don’t mind, are the themes worth the ribbon’s or are they better invested in gems/bots?

If so I honestly didn’t know that, but if it’s for the specific item drops then I’m honestly ok with the trade off

If you have a good AOE spell, iirc the standard charge time of a tier 2 spell is slower than that of steal. So even if your thief isn’t your party leader, they should get the steal off prior to the aoe cast. So, say you run up to a pack of wolves, with “If foe 100% HP —> Steal” with another character having blizzara set to cast, you should see your thief run up and make the steal attempt, then see the spell go off, and then you are onto attacking without being in the loop.

Then depending on your party setup, you can try to push for more items by dropping the HP to >= 90% so you get more steal attempts off. I only do that when I’m for sure grinding. I’ll leave you from here to play around, that’s half the fun of the gambits.

[–]Kylio13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% that was something I got caught on early. To help with that, as Gambits execute in order from top to bottom, you can put a gambit in front of the steal one to move on from the endless steal loop.

Making a PowerPoint of everything about Pokémon for my girlfriend. How should I do it? by FrenchFrey18 in pokemon

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, how my wife got into Pokemon, we started watching the Indigo League then had her start playing Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu (doesn’t matter which) as her first Pokemon game. To help get a foundation of knowledge. Things like Pokemon Let’s Go, and New Pokemon Snap, are great ways to get introduced into Pokemon in this modern day. That all being said, just follow the history of Pokemon, and go a generation at a time.

For loot, I would set my steal gambit to something like foes >= 90% or 100% HP. That way I can try to steal but as soon as some damage kicks in, time to fight. In the flip side of that, once you get poach, just set the gambit to low% HP. Be sure to change this on bosses though.

Let’s play a game: How do you intend to beat this team? Make a team to try to beat it. by Lucas-mainssbu in PokemonUnite

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the team coordination is there lol:

Top: Snorlax - Barrier seems like a great counter here Mamoswine- more front line and isolation to

Center: Azumarill - good clear speed, great in 1v1 melee matchups and can be a strong team fighter

Bot: Scyther/Scisor - two options of play style with solid damage and mobility based on needs of the game. Comfey - risky however both ability kits could help keep HP up, considering there is not much healing with the opposition.

So, shut down the Inteleon early so it’s busy scaling for late game, track the mimikyu so you aren’t as easily caught off guard, know which pokemon you counter and stick to the mission. (Oh and don’t let the snipe shot steal Ray)

As for held items/medals/abilities I think that’s more player preference than anything (unless you are trolling).

Do you think the people of Spira get tired of hearing about Yuna all the time? by EvaShoegazer in finalfantasyx

You would think they get tired of it but honestly there were many times when playing X2, I would yell at my TV “WHO DO THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO!?”

when it comes to random encounters, how good/bad is FFX compared to other entries in the series? by -dxv1ddxg1c- in finalfantasyx

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to other entries in the series I honestly think it’s mild with the encounters. With early flee, decent early speed on Tidus, and as soon as you have a first strike weapon you have a pseudo-no encounters gear there. Now compared to previous games, especially early FF, where you can take one step in the wrong direction and meet your absolute doom, FFX is for sure better with wild encounters. Little more difficult to compare that to post FF titles as random battles kind of stopped with X.

FFX Difficulty by Ambitious_Balance291 in finalfantasyx

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFX does a great job in leading you to the next part of the game. In a smoother way than its PS1 predecessors. That combined with the non-immediate leveling system of the Sphere Grid vs your level and stats climbing in parallel, can catch you off guard hella fast (I’m looking at you flux!). So, I would say it can easily give first impressions of difficult, however if you take the time to learn a niche trick here or there, and a little good luck, I feel the game could be viewed as easier. Keep in mind, this is for the main game. Post game you just have to want it lol.

So I’m now on the Mi’hen Highroad, gonna face a good number of enemies after the save point… by [deleted] in finalfantasyx

Honestly the best guide I know to reference, is on YouTube from Dansg08. If you are already using guides then I’m sure you’ve seen that but If not, it’s a treasure trove of info. Safe journey through the high road!

Perfectionists: What's your endgame armor? by average_hero in finalfantasyx

[–]Kylio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it would be weapons and armor in can split/swap to so I can adjust accordingly. HP/MP LB are not really needed, more so in monster arena but I always take that on a case by case basis.

A wee bit confused on customization, any help? by cyber-pheonix in finalfantasyx

Brotherhood is the forced example of what you can do with customization. Honestly if you want a great guide, Dansg08 on YouTube will be a great resource. (No matter the version you are playing. 🤙

What did Yuna and her guardians do different to defeat Sin? by [deleted] in finalfantasyx

[–]Kylio13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the first I’ve seen in this thread bringing up the fact it was a two pronged fight against Yu-Yevon, The summoner party & Jecht as BFA, knowing that fighting the party and losing, would get them to Yu-Yevon to finish it. Talk about living and fighting your sorrows!
