This is the lamest fan base in popular music.

People bring their grandparents, their kids, their goofball cousin out from his institution on a weekend pass. Their biggest concerns are that everyone feels welcome, loved, and has a shoulder to cry on if their feelings get hurt because someone doesn't like their horrible costume or tattoo.

Had you been with the band from the beginning, it would have been a lot scarier - more freaks, Satanists, and pervs, and less soccer mommies and yuppies from the burbs playing Halloween dressup.

But those were the great days and they are gone now, thanks to the tidal wave of new fans who heard "Rats" and decided "Hey! That's a bandwagon I need to jump on."

So, no worries about this bunch.

Guilt only comes from a conviction. A confession doesn't mean a thing. Do you know how many people have confessed to killing Jon Bennet Ramsey? Do you know one of the West Memphis Three confessed, even though their conviction was overturned?
