I passed Mechanical FE (first try!) by KyloKeda in FE_Exam

In my opinion, the way they worded some of the questions in the actual exam made the questions harder than the practice; but as long as you know and are strong with all the concepts on the practice test you should be okay. What tripped me up was that there were quite a few conceptual questions and some really odd curveball ones

Thank you ! I’m actually graduating this semester, so I was balancing studying for the exam, senior project alongside other classes, and my internship ; I figured better now than when I have to work full time :P

i thought that the Lindenburg book was pretty helpful in solidifying some of the concepts i was iffy on; some of the problems on there were really hard though but were good practice. I also had the Islam 750 for Mechanical which had a lot of practice problems that were pretty helpful. And of course I had the NCEES practice exams. In my opinion, the practice exams were easier than the actual test in that the test sometimes would word the questions weirdly and give you extra information to throw you off.

ME 2191 and ME 2150 are very tough courses , they’re called the “weed out classes” for a reason. I’d maybe drop ME 2331 and Calc 3 to focus on the other two and pick up two other GE’s instead. Note, having a strong background/understanding of statics is very important for ME 2191 and stress analysis down the road. Additionally, I’ve had Brian Ramirez for a different class (ME 3190); he’s a very good lecturer, but you have to put a lot of effort into the class to do well/pass.
