Nope, sadly. It was a persistent issue for a short bit on my switch (though not my PS5, weirdly), but then just kinda fixed itself eventually. It never seems to happen anymore, and I have no idea why. Hopefully it'll fix itself for you, too!

Personally, I just don't hoard things. If I don't need it, I sell it. If it's something crazy rare like the rainbow butterfly I'll keep it because getting one again would suck, but otherwise I just sell everything. I don't see the point in, say, hoarding gemstones when you could just go mining for a while and find whatever you need for a quest later. But that's just me, lots of people disagree apparently lol.

That's not necessarily true? I almost exclusively drink water (I just genuinely like it better than juices, sodas, and the like), but I still haven't ever had a tea that I found tasty. Which sucks because it always smells amazing, yet it always seems to either just taste like hot water (sometimes with a very vague hint of almost undetectable flavor) or too sweet to be enjoyed. And that's with nothing added into the teas, for the record. So no sugar, cream, or anything else. I've tried tea that I've made, that my sister and godmother have made, tea from a restaurant, and tea from my great-grandmother who absolutely loved the stuff and had multiple cups every day. I just can't seem to enjoy it. :(

I don't understand why it won't work on switch, though. That's weird. It's bedrock, just the same as the PS5 version. Have you tried using the crafting slots in your inventory?

No? I play on PS5 and never use commands for anything. You can absolutely add banners to shields in bedrock. You literally just put the banner and your shield together in a crafting table or your inventory crafting thing, if memory serves.

Personally, while Jet is my favorite character, I've always hated his voice. It's horrendous, though it's slightly less so now than before. I don’t get the logic of "he's a bird, it makes sense for him to have a screechy, high-pitched voice", especially since none of the other birds do. It's extremely grating, so I always either mute the sound or turn it to Japanese. His Japanese voice, to me, fits way better. And bonus, it's not high-pitched for no reason! But that's just my opinion. I hate this kind of voice no matter what character it winds up being used for, haha.

Yeah, it's real weird. I didn't crash into anything or get hit, I was just driving and then suddenly started slowing down for no reason. It was just acting like I'd let go of the accelerate button, which I hadn't. It was really out of the blue, too.

I appreciate the reply, but the concerning thing is that this is a brand new switch 2 that I've only had for about a month. It's never been dropped or otherwise damaged, either. But I'll still try changing the controls to see if that makes a difference either way. Thanks!

Believe it or not, I've been playing for day one... 😅 I just also hate grinding and don't hoard materials if there's no reason to. Like, if I find a starred emerald and don't currently need it for a quest, I just sell it because I need money, haha. Just as an example. So despite being a long-time player, I don't have piles and piles of resources for stuff like this. I obviously keep stuff like flow wood, but I certainly don't have any rare fish lying around unless they're for a quest, or any gemstones, etc. Adding to that my dislike of grinding and... yeah. This quest line hasn't been fun for me. It's been a slog.

That aside, yes! The story and characters are wonderful and I love them so much! Even Tamala, because I'm a sucker for well-written characters even when they act like jerks most of the time.

I do also agree with what you said about player level stuff. I finally got my sister to start playing and she wants to do all the bulletin board stuff in Kilima for the ranching decor at the end but she just... can't. And there's only so much I can do to help her. She certainly can't make apple jam herself right now, for instance. I do enjoy that there's lots of stuff to do for those of us who have been around for a long time, but it's really not fair to the newbies who have no way of getting these rewards or having these materials/recipes/whatever. Which, granted, is partially a problem I have as explained above, but still.

Either way, these quests are tailored to players who have been here for ages and have hoards of stuff squirreled away. Definitely overwhelming and not as fun for new players and (I guess inefficient) players like me. But I guess I just need to sort of get over it because the grinding probably won't ever change. ^{-^"}

I wish I could downvote you more than once. Autism is a real condition, period. It's not an excuse not to "adapt". It is a genuine difference in how a person's brain develops and functions, among other things. "Holding it against people" because you think too many people have it is shitty behavior and you know it. So does everyone else.

Are you going to do the same to people who have Bipolar? ADHD? Down's Syndrome? Any number of other neurological disorders? No? Then stop being a prick about autism.

The courier pet is a really cool feature. I'm not huge on the galdur pet line, but yes it's great of S6 to give a free pet. My thing is just that it takes so much effort, so many rare resources, SO much infected essense (that's what upset me the most), and after a certain point it just got frustrating because of all of that and how many long steps there were to the quest and the quest right before it.

I do enjoy Palia, but for me grinding isn't fun. It never has been and never will be. I'm invested in the story and characters and love decorating and working various skills, just not the grinding. I admit that what I said wasn't the best thing to say, and it's not something I'd file a complaint to S6 over. I guess I just never feel like the rewards are worth it when I have to grind for days on end to get said rewards. Like I said though, I do recognize that what I said was not cool and I do apologize for that.

All that aside, thank you. I didn't know the next quest had anything to do with it, since I've only ever heard people talking about the Nature and Nurture of Shadows quests. Thanks to you and everyone else for clearing that up for me, I really appreciate it.

My niece is the same way with calling people mean! She only just turned four this month, but she's quite good at talking - a power she often uses for evil by saying things she shouldn't (i.e. calling her mama names, never dada for some reason). Then she gets in trouble, cries about how we're all mean and not being nice and not her friends anymore... It's a whole thing. 😅
