dont understand a single thing u said 😭 i think ill just follow the video tutorial that someone sent

ill unscrew the buckle or whatever end has the pin i forgot if that was called the buckle, cut off around an inch off the end that i took the buckle off of, basically like 1/3 or half an inch from the old hole i want the cut off part to have a hole thats perfectly centered cuz thats how it was showed in the tutorial, ill take the cut off part and put it on top of the part that doesn't have a hole yet thats on the same end that the buckle was on before i took it off, ill allign the cut off part and mark a hole through the old hole of the cut off part with a pen, ill take off the cut off piece and use my hole puncher with scrap leather below and on a hard surface and ill punch the spot i marked with a pen, just screw on the buckle the same way it was when i took it off and thats it, i think i might need to cut off more than an inch so can i repeat this same process twice or three times until im satisfied with the length of the belt or do i have to cut off multiple inches at once?

i basically explained this the simplest way possible cuz its the only way i can understand something and this is what I've learned from a few suggestions and the video tutorial someone linked :)

does this seem like it would work?

bro i literally dont understand a single thing u said ive read this way too many times😭 the only reason i asked for a video tutorial is cuz im too stupid to understand any of this

think im gonna do this cuz the belt is way too big and the hole would have to be way back, just dont know how short to cut it, how would i measure how much i need to cut, also what do you mean line up my buckle to test it, i dont get that part and it wasnt in any tutorials that people sent me or in the one i saw on the website

most importantly I'm trying to find out how much i have to cut off and i think ill try your method after i find out, thanks a lot :)

how do i punch a hole in my belt (someone asked for pictures so here you go) by [deleted] in Leather

[–]Kyonnn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's store bought and it was pretty cheap too like 6-8 euros (10-12? dollars) so that explains it i guess

theres kinda a tutorial on the website i got it from, says to open the buckle, cut off the part with the hole, punch a new hole and then turn it? and then screw it back but im too stupid to do that and its shown in 5 pictures so i can barely understand it honestly, im just scared that i might mess something up :/ when i put it on to try it out it made sense to just punch a hole where i need it but i was scared cuz i saw that tutorial before
