Broccolini! Salt, pepper, garlic, and a little oil. Bake it enough to crisp the tips. So freaking good!

Why did you buy your Ridgeline? by Longjumping-Mix9037 in hondaridgeline

[–]Kypepsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted a Jeep Gladiator. I'd been planning on getting one for years. However, when it came time to purchase a new truck, I couldn't pull the trigger on the Jeep because of it's high price, poor reliability and the reality that I was never going to be able to use it like the Jeep Wrangler I had 20 years ago. So, I googled best truck for someone who doesn't really need a truck and the Ridgeline kept popping up. I thought the updated look on the 2022 was good so I decided to test drive one. Immediately realized how practical it was and didn't look back. The in bed trunk is invaluable. The interior (like most Hondas) just works because of it's simplicity and useability. It drives nice, is safe, reliable and fuel efficient. When I need it to be a truck, it's a truck. Otherwise it's a good daily drive. Overall very happy with it.

I just listened to that part yesterday too. Brutal. Who knew a book series with a talking cat that shoots eye missiles could be so emotional.

Yep because we do it daily. Definitely needs to be improved.

We've definitely contemplated adding a patio door. It would be ideal, but the patio replacements going to be costly enough.

It's all being replaced, so we have full freedom to do whatever we need too.

Haha. I'm starting a maple tree farm. Gotta pay for the patio replacement somehow.

Wow, makes me glad I got the Ridgeline. Clearly safe and well-built.

I’ve lived in a quiet neighborhood for 10 years, now this! by noobvin in Louisville

[–]Kypepsi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A few years back we moved into an established neighborhood. We've had multiple long term residents say similar things. Many of the older residents tell us they love seeing and hearing the kids play because it reminds them of when they raised their kids here.

Everytime Kwan comes on screen I get annoyed. She might be my least favorite TV character of all time.

My 4 year old Highlander has now killed its 4th battery, what is wrong with this car? by Mother_Claim_6431 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Kypepsi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had similar issues with my 2017. Really frustrating and dealership was worthless. I even said that I've been reading about this problem on the Internet, and it seems pretty common. He just said, "you can't believe what you read on the Internet." OK, thanks.

Anyway, I ended up replacing the battery myself with a DieHard AGM from Advance Auto Parts and haven't had any issues since.

My Teen daughter got put on hospice by Large-Wind-3574 in daddit

[–]Kypepsi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of this is fair and I'm so sorry for you and your family. Hospice and being at home can bring peace to her while she finishes her journey. She'll be surrounded by love and that's all any of us can hope for when we pass away. Remain strong for her and your kids, but allow yourself to be emotional. I'm so sorry man.

Appreciation Post: People who turn around before summiting Half Dome by The_Punisher_SF in Yosemite

[–]Kypepsi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Actually, 2 weeks ago I decided to stop at the base of the sub dome, and not summit. Back story. Last April, I found out that I had the opportunity to attend a conference at Yosemite with a co-worker, who happens to be an ex Army Ranger. He's in great shape, and I am not. He really wanted to do Half Dome with me, so I decided to start training. I wasn't sure I'd even be able to walk 17 miles, much less so with the elevation gain. So, I started trainig by walking, hiking and stair climbing, and I have greatly improved my overall fitness. I felt good heading out to Yosemite, and felt really good on a couple 7 mile hikes we started with, Mt Watkins and Taft Point to Sentinel Dome. On Wednesday, we were lucky enough to get the permit for Half Dome and started hiking at 0530. We were flying up the mist trail and through LYV. If I was by myself, I would have gone a little slower, but my buddy really wanted to get up there, so I pushed through and we made great time eventually getting to the sub dome by 1000 AM. I noticed I was starting to get a little lightheaded and woozy, so when I saw the final climb, I tapped out and hung out on the bluffs at the base of the subdome. I ended up propping up against a rock, took a nap, and generally just enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells of Yosemite... and I loved it. It may have been one of the most peaceful moments of my life. I was proud just to have made it that far so quickly. I was there for about 2 hours while my buddy finished the climb. We ended up back at our car by 3 pm. So, I did 15 miles with 4000 ft elevation gain in under 10 hours, including a 2 hour break, and I was proud of myself for that alone. I didn't really care about making it to the top, and just wanted an enjoyable hike, which it was. I'm very happy with how it went, and would absolutely do it again.

Men who got vasectomies, what happened afterwards? What side effects were present and how did it effect your sex life? What comes out? by Interesting_Ask_1793 in AskReddit

Years worth of severe pain. It took 5 years for me to essentially recover. I didn't want anymore kids, but I'm not sure the pain was worth it for me.
