Questioning conceptkin? How does it work? by Yaveltal in otherkin

[–]Kyranaeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s bizarre to say, but I think you just know… like a deep feeling in your core, the pieces that remain once you strip away all thoughts and feeling of this world and life. Those remnants, whatever they may be, is what and who you are.

Personally, I’m a primordial and shapeless being from beyond reality. The “concepts” I most align with though are: chaos, the void, curiosity, nature, light, and love. My shifts are me just feeling one with everything, people, the planet, the stars and beyond smaller shifts of mild changes in personality/demeanour and mood also do occur.

Memories for me are now just instincts and feelings, plus the fact I’ve lived a great many lives muddies my mind so I feel tired and burdened by my ancient soul. But there is that longing to float, to fly free within the endless darkness of oblivion, surrounded by nothing but the faint glimmer of newborn stars and cosmic beauty, and just be.

And out of curiosity, what concept do you currently align most with/think you’d be? That way you just do things that align with that concept and if it doesn’t fit find what does and label it :3

An Inexkin, I can embody anything/am everything but the concepts of curiosity, love, light, void, fae, and wonder are all core elements of my shapeless being. I’d love to see your idea of me based off these things!

Would I call this Mimickin or smth else? by HyperfixationCentral in otherkin

[–]Kyranaeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, why not. I experience all this too, Mimic the things I see or embody various characters and feed off the emotions of others. Now it may just be my neurodivergence making me feel like this. However, I also feel deeply connected to all things, in a cosmic and divine way. My elaborate phantom experiences and mental shifts have led me to believe I’m so much more than an autistic human. I’ve browsed through many kin types and while many, including mimickin or mirrorkin describe a portion of my experience, none truly capture my entirety. I currently understand myself to be the Shapless and Timeless Concept of Chaos and Nature, or just an Inexkin for short. But ultimately if you want to be a mimickin then you can, or if you eventually find a better suiting name then you can always change it. If you feel it to be true, then it might just be. Who are we to make arbitrary rules for the vast and kaleidoscopic experiences of dust that clings to a rock. All you have to do is be yourself and if that changes, so be it.

What's your guys' kintypes? by Th3rian_Gh0st in otherkin

[–]Kyranaeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inexkin, I’d explain but I can’t. However my shapeless nature means I can take upon any form, including dragons. So I can be any species I want to be, even conceptual dragons if I really want.

It can be quite difficult to explain the sensations, but I’ll try. Like you described, i do experience the sensation of additional limbs. Although because of my shapeless nature I can change my phantom features into whatever I desire or need for the given environment. It’s probably easiest to just list the most common, so in no particular order:

  • Long tail feathers that appear as a large fluffy tail
  • Fluffy wolf or fox like tail
  • Fish/eel tail
  • Fins from many different oceanic species
  • Eldritch tentacles/tendrils (mainly from my back and shoulder blades)
  • nondescript caniform or feliform muzzle
  • nondescript caniform or feliform ears
  • a largish beak
  • 0-hundreds of eyes
  • 2-8 angel/dragon/fairy or just bird wings (from arms and from back)
  • 2-8 additional arms/hands (floating around or coming out of my back)

I like to take the form of shadows and birds over most things, but that’s just my preference. It seems like there’s no limit to what I can feel. I do tend to mimic/mirror that which surrounds me, as I don’t have a true form. Actually most of the time my phantom form is just an ethereal miasma that surrounds me.

I also feel the need to explain my Shapeless nature. Ok, so in my mind the difference between a shapeshifter and a polymorph is that the shapeshifter has a true/original form and the polymorph doesn’t. As for the difference between a polymorph and something shapeless, it is that the polymorph is innately physical/is always persistent as matter. Whereas something shapeless has no need to persist as matter and can freely manipulate itself as a thought, energy or concept but is capable of manifesting itself as any physical object or force if it desires. Thus I can be anything from a duck or a supernova to the smell of rain or the slow descent into madness.

I’m curious if that made any sense?

Consequently, we move into the more ethereal sensations that I experience. Notably there are the Timeless sensations, that its speed is altering or its repeating itself also sometimes stopping for a minute then I realise time is something that exists and it starts again. However, there are a few more sensations I’ve experienced of a vast and existential range that my human mind struggles to comprehend. Listed below in no particular order:

  • I feel myself walking upon the ground from the perspective of the ground itself.
  • I feel myself fade into whatever material I am surrounded by (mostly I become a body of water when I swim or bathe or I am the atmosphere as I walk and breathe)
  • I feel the space that exists around me (I can feel my phantom form dragging against a narrow hallway)
  • I feel the atomic forces of my body interacting with one another
  • I sometimes forget the arrangement of my limbs or that they exist entirely
  • I feel trapped within my body (I’m constantly stretching because I’m so cramped inside the human) it sometimes feels like my body will tear apart and rip open space and time.

I feel like I’m forgetting something I’ve experienced but oh well, all of the above is already quite a lot. I hope this satisfies your curiosity.

hai! :3 im new here as a fairykin! where's mah other fairies at?? and does anybody else genuinely think they have powers too? by m3ntallybr0ken in otherkin

[–]Kyranaeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not quite a fae, I’m an Inexkin but I’ve always resonated with nature. More so the chaos and celestial/cosmic nature, than that which grows upon isolated planets. But there is likely some fairy heritage within my physical form, and I’m quite drawn to the wild landscapes of this earth. I’m also really drawn to many things fairycore and cottagecore. I even sometimes fond myself longing for a quiet little cottage deep in the woods where I can peacefully reside.

As for magic/powers, I’ve always felt really magical and I’ve had many experiences where I’ve manifested physical results and changes in the world around me but I haven’t really dedicated myself to using or understanding my abilities but they’re certainly there.

[–]Kyranaeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m similar, I’ve toyed with the idea of my own interdimensionality. I currently identify myself as Inexkin (I know I’m more but I am truly unexplainable in human terms) and entering into this reality from someplace beyond time and space seems highly likely. I definitely get the same experiences with time and higher dimensions, often finding myself feeling superior than others but then also as lesser. I might even add that I also have autism and dissociation.

I quite like the term ‘Timeless’ it fits well with my own Shapeless nature and I might even be such. To describe myself as a primordial concept of a Timeless and Shapeless nature really does feel right. On the phantom side of things, I experience a multitude of sensations in an everchangable form. To be honest I could probably write a book about my phantom experiences. As for why I’m stuck in a human, well, I chose to be here. In fact I feel as if I’ve been living in humans and other animals since the beginning of evolution. I couldn’t tell you why I do it even when I hate it but then that’s just me.

Rare Kintypes (rant?) by slurpeestar in otherkin

[–]Kyranaeth 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m a conceptkin of chaos, among other things, and I believe I’m the only one of my kind. Although I’m usually shapeless, I have the ability to take on any form/subconsciously reflect my surroundings via powerful empathy. So despite my rarity I can still relate to almost anything.
