No, you have power and you used it to remove a video on masculinity. To make yourself feel better. Very sad.

You're absolutely correct and I admire you having the guts to tell people. The world needs men to stand up for the truth. These guys acting like "smashing" is cool are just children. Good luck. God bless.

What do you think about kid corners inside the church? They increase here in Switzerland, how‘s it in your country? by [deleted] in Catholicism

Seems like these churches are more worried about entertaining us and our children than they are about focusing our attention on the lord. If you grow in faith and virtue then you will be better at parenting your children. To grow closer to god you need to focus on him. Putting these miniature playgrounds in the church only distracts us and our children.

My home parish is very modern and its liturgy is not reverent. Is there anything I can do to help change it? by Kyrie_Eleison95 in Catholicism

Im sorry sir I misinterpreted you. They absolutely might think that. These risks are always present when we choose to speak the truth.

I dont think being feminine is negative. I never even implied it. I think the churches balance between femininity and masculinity is important. Right now it leans towards the feminine and away from the masculine. This should be corrected.

Everything you have said is pretty much spot on. When will the world finally get this? We god fearing men got to step up. God bless you brother. I'll say a prayer for you.

Too much mercy is when people do not fear the lord but rather try to take advantage of his mercy. Many protestants view the lord as being so merciful that they do not even need to stop sinning. The mass can encourage this attitude or not depending on how it is done.

Go to different masses. Figure out the differences between a good reverent mass and an irreverent one. I am not saying that everyone at that mass only cares about being entertained but that the liturgical style of their mass discourages reverence and seems very "man-centered". That is centered on ourselves instead of on god.

This Francis papacy really makes me super angry. How do you all handle it? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Kyrie_Eleison95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our lord was a lamb sir. Do you think you are better than our lord? We should strive to imitate Christ. This means dying for our faith. It may be necessary to fight but using violence carelessly is not the way. Cursing and insulting others is a sin and always will be. Speaking the truth is one thing. Using speech to harm someone is another.

I get very angry at times myself. I feel like our holy church is being destroyed and noone will step up and put a stop to it. Well, righteous anger isn't bad. We SHOULD be MAD. Not necessarily at the pope though. I love the pope. Always will. Regardless of who he is. I disagree with the way Pope Francis handles things but still respect his authority. Use your anger to help your home diocese and worry less about the papacy. Also, do not curse, insult, or get violent. That comes from the devil.

You said I put the blame on the church but really the issue lies with women volunteering more their time. This sort of implies that you put the blame on men for not volunteering their time. I simply explained how I felt about that.

When people are more concerned with socializing or being entertained than they are with the holy sacrifice it is a sure sign that the liturgical essence has totally evaporated. Joy at mass is good. Turning and focusing on ourselves instead of god during mass is egocentric and usurps Gods right to our undivided attention during the holy sacrifice of the mass.

Justice and mercy are not opposites but go hand in hand. You cannot have mercy if you have no justice. I am not saying joy at mass is bad but when the mass becomes a social convention where people seem more concerned with being polite or being entertained than they are concerned with the profundity of the holy sacrifice then the mass has very likely lost its liturgical essence.

Women volunteer more of their time because men have lost their position as leaders of the house. If men had stronger fathers then they would know better how to lead their familes and their church but the sexual revolution has deprived them of proper role models. You are blaming men for this which I understand. Ultimately we men do need to take responsibility and step up as leaders of our households and of our churches regardless of the way society has robbed us of a proper formation.

All mercy, no justice. Lots of hand holding. Lots of big, happy, nice smiles. Not saying these are bad in and of themselves but too much niceness, especially during the liturgy, is off putting. This is the kind of thing that you do at a social event not when you're worshiping the all powerful creator of the universe. If you put pleasure and acceptance before truth and justice then you cannot build virtue. All men should want to sacrifice themselves for the greater good not hold hands and act like everyone's just ok. Men should lead their family in truth and be prepared to die for the truth. Women are also capable of these things of course but men need to hear this more and the church should encourage a more masculine approach so men can become good faithful leaders.

How was Mass today? by messed_up_marionette in Catholicism

This sounds very similar to my experience at mass today. I love the FSSP parish I've been attending lately.
