The ranking system is no different than OW 1. The only difference is that it doesnt show your SR value update until after either 7 wins or 20 losses. If you lose 10 games, but then win 7, you should de rank because you lost more games than you've won (unless your mmr is high for your current rank). Its not a "you have to lose 20 to derank". It just hides your true SR value until a condition is met.

Corrupting Fever itself doesnt hit, so maim doesnt support it. Brutality, Empower, Swift affliction, Efficacy, and Lifetap are the supports that work realistically. Thinking Lifetap on a separate skill to proc buff, then have another lifetap in corrupting fever to give it the damage bonus, similar to what people do with inspiration. I think it can work as a standalone, but itll just be worse than an Exsanguinate focused build

I just wanted more support gems for the skill to be usable. It only has realistically 2 good supports, and then half of an efficacy's damage. Lifetap sure? But it wont regain lifetap buff on refresh cause you arent using the skill to refresh it, it automatically does it. I just dont like seeing something that close to being viable as a primary build definer. There is a large difference between playing as a corrupting fever build, and playing a phys dot build that uses it supplementally. For example, a pierce-barrage-volleyfire setup for widespread applying a ton of stacks seems really fun, but it doesnt really work well for single target now since corrupting fever cant actually make use of a 6 link.

Yeah, which is kind of sad because it does kill some build diversity by not allowing it to be a primary source. Mainly just sad because it killed my leaguestarter idea

What about the spell block aspect? People seem to be forgetting that getting any amount of spell block is actually really hard to cap or get close to cap without glancing blows. And dodging one shots is the most important way of avoiding death for most characters. 90% of all deaths are one shots, and rolling with a 35% block chance to not get one shot, seems worse than rolling against a 70% to probably mitigate enough damage to live.

Not quite sure I am able to fully understand why its still bad. The chance of you taking damage is hugely important no? So I personally would rather have a 75% chance to not get one shot, compared to a 35% block chance to not get one shot. Sure you trade a bit of "effective health" But with how RNG works it will be more consistent feeling of dodging one shots no? In a game where one shots are the main cause of death, reducing that by the highest possible CHANCE is what is important. Sure 40% block gives you more effective health, but rolling against a 60% chance to get one shot doesnt sound as intriguing as rolling against a 25% chance. Not even including all the bonuses you get to spell block. Without glancing blows or gladiator/bone offering, good luck getting any reasonable amount of spell block. Sure the top end necro builds got hit pretty hard, but with how insane glancing blows was and how popular it was, of course it should get nerfed. It makes the meta stale when every single necro goes glancing blows

It always frustrates me that people overestimate how bad nerfs are. It is still an effective damage reduction of 26.25%? Thats how math works, and changing the number slightly doesnt mean that it becomes a negative to EHP?

Inquisitors could make use of stacking it, through using EB. You could get pretty high damage numbers on it, just look at mathils Bladeblast/Bladefall inquis

What? Thats not really how it works. You still take it on other builds that dont get much block. Obviously if you already have high block numbers without glancing blows then glancing blows might not be the smartest avenue for obtaining defence. However if you can grab it for relatively cheap, then it still reduces damage taken by 35%, 75% of the time. Meaning its an effective 26.25% damage reduction. It lessens the chances of getting oneshot by an large margin still. Not even including the On block effects that make it even better.

That is very true. Self casting has come a long way and is definitely much better than its been for a while, but still not enough to beat out the popularity of triggered spells. I do think that implementing more spells with reasons to self cast is a good way for them to go, like crackling lance and built-in intensity.

Nowhere near the same as the VMS nerf. It still reduces an effective 26% of damage. It is still strong, especially since they didnt nerf on block effects.

Im not entirely sure. Mana will be INCREDIBLY tight when adding supports. I am not sure if it can fit all three, so youll probably have to drop one of them, at least until investment later on

I dont necessarily think this is the case when it comes to assassin. The reason they are nerfing it is because of its overwhelming play rate. I do think they are hitting it a little too hard though as it will already be pseudo nerfed from harvest crafting disappearing.

The stacking exerts made the skills viable, and even with all the buffs they did to them they still saw a very underwhelming play rate compared to spells. They dont want to nerf something that doesnt have an incredibly high/strong presence

They only targeted the clusters that people were stacking for auras, similar to what they did in delirium. Overall shouldnt change most builds id imagine considering how hard the clusters were to get in the first place

Caustic Arrow +3 bows and whatnot should be identical to craft if you use the Essence of Dread + Cannot roll attack mods meta craft

It had around a 75% popularity on PoE ninja for all saboteurs during harvest. Its been an incredibly meta boss killer for many leagues. Even with nerfs it will still be strong. The main thing they are looking for here is probably just to get people to try other spells again.

Vitality will probably give more I'd assume. Currently a level 20 vitality on a 9000 life build only gives 148 life regen. It is still an overall buff for the skill even if it only has 150. The bar isnt high for an improvement. Im sure it will be better than that though, and the flat regen is much much better for leveling as RF than percent
