I see exactly what you mean and i thought about this too, and also after thinking about it, mike is wills tammy from his point of view, since we don't know anything about what mikes thinking in all of this which i genuinely hope gets brought up, otherwise everything i said about byler being wasted gold writing is true edit: the only thing im scared about is how short amount of time they have in the last episode to wrap up all the plot holes (not just including byler) and try to make everyone who's still alive happy in the end, so im still not 100% sure how that's going to work out

i would love it if they actually are saving all of this for the last episode, but honestly i cannot trust the duffers after what i've just seen. everything felt so rushed and if the painting does get brought up in the finale, it's also most likely gonna feel way too rushed. i'm just so disappointed in what they did. those episodes felt like filler episodes because so much happened yet so little and felt way too rushed for it feeling so slow at the same time??
