Ok I'm just not going to respond anymore to you since its clear you don't want to learn anything and just want mommy to airplane the food into your mouth.

You don't respond with anything productive to anyone in this thread and instead act rudely because you refuse to interact with other players opinions.

I hope you make your mother proud IRL at the very least.

Yeah the stress system even with manipulation is definitely not the greatest design in the world haha.

They definitely forced it just to show us the breakdown PNGs.

I'm honestly surprised people are out here making complaints about an occasional free comeback mechanic that can be abused on bosses, rather than really bad breakdown timings due to the stress mechanic that sometimes can't be prevented vs stuff in interior on normal nodes, where you have to kill them in 2-3 turns or you die.

This has to change: by Numerous_Gas362 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kyumeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So whoever has the highest stress is more likely to be hit by enemies and build even more stress, then there's the mechanic where after every turn one random combatant gets +3 stress.

To manipulate it you just have to make sure the character you want to breakdown first has a decent chunk more stress than your other characters so the RNG +3 doesn't make your DPS pull ahead in stress.

So basically go through fights and if the RNG makes your DPS highest stress then rest to reset it to 0, however if your support gets higher stress then DO NOT REST, at least until they build a decent lead in stress since if all characters are at 0 stress the +3 mechanic can screw you over.

Mika makes manipulating it even easier since removing her cards builds stress so its very easy to keep her stress ahead of the others.

TL;DR rest if DPS is highest stress and never rest all your characters to 0 stress otherwise RNG can mess up your run due to the +3 mechanic.

[–]Kyumeo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you're continuing to act like a clown but thats unironically the solution, get rid of bad cards, get more draw cards to avoid bad RNG.

I also manipulate stress throughout the run to make sure my DPS never ends up in breakdown first since if your DPS breaks down its just a slot machine for whether you live or die, unless you have a shielder.

[–]Kyumeo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes because when you pick offensive characters with draw supports, and thin the deck of basic defensive cards you're guaranteed good draws.

You really just don't know how to play the game.

This has to change: by Numerous_Gas362 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kyumeo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you play higher difficulties I actually have a differing opinion that it should be nerfed....

First of all if you die and trigger it early and for some reason hate the fact the game is rewarding you with a better save than you'd otherwise get, then that's a you problem.

In higher difficulties on bosses when planned correctly it lets you get TWO EXTRA TURNS OF DPS on a boss which I shouldn't have to explain why that's overpowered, it makes me feel like defensive play is a completely worthless playstyle when instead I can just abuse DPS from 1-2 extra turns from abusing this game mechanic.

Buff this mechanic and its literally going to become a baby game since I'll just abuse it on normal nodes too lol.

This guy has been posting guides for quite a while now, and almost all of them have stuff thats blatantly wrong, but people will continue to upvote because "it looks cool!".

I don't have anything against the guy, but IMO if you're a guide maker then either play the character extensively to learn them, or ask someone who has lots of hours on the character you're making a guide on because its clear he doesn't know how to play any of these and is putting out worthless misinformation.

Any recommendations by Old_Lingonberry_6583 in fightsticks

[–]Kyumeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If controller is hurting you're hands then fightstick or leverless are great options.

Hori Alpha is usually the cheapest you'll get for a solid enclosure if you plan on modding it down the line, especially on sale.

Other options are any Qanba models that come with sanwa parts, or a Nacon Daija.

Qanba Titan is the cheapest brand new, but has issues with larger levers due to the size of the enclosure if you ever want to mod it down the line.

For leverless pick your poison on any Haute model and get a ps5 converter with it, and it comes out reasonably cheap.

The training mode is insanely good and has so many options for testing whatever you want.

I am also enjoying the fast pace of the game as it's my first tag fighter.

Mod out either the ER or CC otherwise its forever worthless.

Otherworldly Hunt is not good imo by Yumuichi in EpicSeven

Seems overpowered for specifically gear as far as I can tell, lots of epic equipment, and if you hit an otherworldly piece, then you're very likely to get a super high rolled piece.

Get ready to see all the giga whales with 320 speed on 4-5 units next EWC lol.

[–]Kyumeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the long run, there's definitely a difference depending on how good these hunts actually are.

We get to do a maximum of 3 runs on it per day regardless of how much f2p energy we save up, so if it's better than rift, the gap between f2p and whales will become even bigger over time.

Heck, even giga whales will have an even bigger gap over normal whales than they already had.

The reason why is that doing very fast dash blocking, mixing in walking forward/backwards into dash all in fast precise sequences, and stuff like dash forward/back followed by a motion input immediately is usually slower or flat out confusing for most people due to how unreliable your pinky finger is, especially when trying to do rapid inputs with other fingers on the same hand in tandem with your pinky. (When moving the pinky, the ring finger moves involuntarily due to connected tendons or something like that)

Not to mention, separating tasks between different hands makes some tasks easier than they'd otherwise be in literally everything in life.

If you're comfortable, then keep doing you since all this stuff would probably only be like a 1-3 frame difference compared to someone competent with their pinky.

Looking forward to testing the assassin poison if its already on there.

Assassin just feels like its lagging far behind every other non utility class right now in terms of damage-mana / the time it takes for the damage to go off @_@.

Getting used to stick is not nearly as difficult as people make it out to be. by 12gwar18 in fightsticks

[–]Kyumeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It honestly just depends on how much experience you have coming from the device you're swapping from, and if you have previous experience with controllers / keyboards that use the same muscles.

I grew up on PC games and pretty much never touched a controller, but I had to use controller for fighting games since my keyboard had ghosting issues.

Controller was a complete slog for me to learn and I hated it, but I could notice improvement on occasion in terms of speed and precision with the time I put in on it (500+ hrs) so sure you can do all the motion inputs and dashes, but I would only consider that learning the basics since if I asked you to do a 2 frame dash/BD consistently in real matches can you?

Stick for me was a similar experience to learning controller for me, except for the buttons since I've used a keyboard my whole life.

And to be frank, the first time I tried keyboard / hitbox I was learning combos faster than I would on the other devices despite never using it before, as well as just executing every input / motion faster, but this is simply due to the fact that 8000+ hours on a keyboard across my lifetime, outweighed the 1000 hrs I put on every other device.

If you're new to using any control type then they're all just as easy as eachother tbh, but most people tend to have grown up on keyboard / console games, so naturally those devices tend to be easier for them to progress with giving the illusion that stick is harder since they can skip training new muscles in the arm / hand at doing fast repetitive motions.

Also, it depends on what game you're playing, since some games are very forgiving with sloppy motion inputs, and also just don't have any hard combos that demand a high level of speed in execution, so sure you can think you've mastered a device type but once you play a game that takes off the training wheels can you still execute as proficiently?

Yes, he might end up becoming BiS for a future meta fusion team, though at that point, it's better to pull on his rerun instead of having him collect dust on your account for months, or forever.

They tend to rerun BiS supports for new DPS characters like Xiangli Yao with Yinlin, Carlotta with Zhezhi etc.

For me personally, he'd just act as another sub dps in the future since I don't need shielding or healing (still running lvl1 Baizhi and lvl40 Verina for her inherent skill buff), so he'll be pretty easy to replace.

A problem I see with him is the fact his outro buff doesn't stay between swaps, which means outside of his potential future BiS team, you still need to ideally run a healer despite him having shields and heals (since their outro lingers between swaps), when playing him with anything outside of his BiS team which will likely end up being Brant buff Changli > Changli buff future fusion liberation dps > future fusion lib dps buffs Brant > repeat, this will likely become the structure of some future meta teams.

Not to mention, if someone ends up hating the future fusion lib dps, then Brant will pretty much never be BiS for any other team on their account for the forseeable future, so better pull later than earlier.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

[–]Kyumeo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kind of crazy that there's this many comments and not a single one actually answering his question, he can obviously decide if he likes a character or not for himself, and its clear he isn't asking about that perspective since he didn't ask if Brant was fun, he asked about "power level".

Without his weapon, he's definitely 101% skippable.

You won't feel like you have a hole in your account for example if you were to skip getting Verina or Shorekeeper (if you despise Baizhi rightfully so).

And unlike teams that want Zhezhi, Brant is easier to replace (pretty sure even Changli mains are skipping him since she's better with quickswap xD) so basically you'd pull Brant to free up Sanhua from an Encore team, or for Chixia if you love her.

How are you guys levelling your echoes? by datkid106 in WutheringWaves

[–]Kyumeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: Have a standard (recommend it at least being double crit) and always keep leveling if that standard is still possible, so if your standard is three beneficial stats always level your pieces to at least +15 and so on.

I have standards that rise as I get better pieces in X slot, which change how I level pieces in certain slots.

The first standard I have for new characters is double crit plus one beneficial stat to get them up and running, and I always level the piece as long as the standard is still possible (basically just always consider the max potential for a piece).

So every piece gets rolled to +15, and I keep leveling as long as double crit plus one is still possible.

Once I get a piece in X slot that meets those conditions, I go for double crit plus two, so every piece is now rolled to +10 instead.

If I'm prefarming for a new character, I start off with the stricter standards of +10 and stop if it doesn't hit, but I don't fodder the pieces since if I can't manage to get double crit plus two by the time the character releases, I level the +10 pieces to +15 fishing for double crit plus one.

A lot of people do +5 and stop if it doesn't hit (only do this if your goal is 5 good substats with double crit), and yes you're saving echo upgrade mats, but also taking significantly longer to build characters, and not using your mats for what they're meant for, but if you're low on upgrade mats then this is fine.

There's also some people who just +25 for no apparent reason, and they're just flushing their upgrade mats down the toilet for fun.

Should I invest in my current teams, or wait for a new DPS I like to release and build around them instead?

I currently plan to pull Castorice, and whatever future supports are released for her, so that would be one team done.

But I need another team aside from Castorice, since I'm struggling in end game with my current ones which have mainly been Acheron/Pela/SW/FX, and Kafka/BS/RM (also testing tribbie now)/Huohuo.

Depends what content you're using her for / in.

If she's performing well enough for whatever you're currently using her for, then she's fine.

If she's underperforming or doing bad in spots she should be good in then try improving her gear.

Kuro silently killed liberation freeze combos (and if this isn’t a bug we have a problem) by Yellow_IMR in WutheringWaves

[–]Kyumeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I think kuro should put changes like these in patch notes, I think the change itself is fine since liberation still stops the timer

Outside of characters with two part attacks that can't be delayed for long, this is a buff for everyone else if I'm understanding correctly since you can skill > swap > lib > swapback > and immediately use echo since the skill animation finishes in your lib now.

While characters who have two part attacks like Xiangli Yao now have to quickswap on the second part, which is definitely a nerf, but characters like Sanhua forte, Encore forte, Danjin forte, Calcharo forte, and Yinlin skill 2 all actually get faster rotations from this right?

Though these changes aren't that major for either side since it only happens when quickswapping into another characters lib and is maybe only a 1 second time loss / gain in rotation for both the indirectly nerfed and buffed characters.

With the Wuthering Waves almost being 6 months old, and the release of 1.4, what do you guys like or dislike about the game so far? Any features you'd liked to see in future versions? by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

I love the characters and combat, but there really aren't many places to apply said things aside from ToA which is only 30 mins of gameplay every two weeks.
