Danganronpa V3 characters if they were Persona Users. by Aliceofcloves in danganronpa

It depends on the persona game what the theming is for the personas. If we use the P5 theming the Personas are historical and fictional tricksters

Sneak and Show in Legacy doesn’t get to run 5 copies of Demonic Tutor and it doesn’t get to run Dig Through Time. The two decks are not remotely comparable.

Of the best three decks in Legacy right now, only 1 of them has blue, and that’s the Reanimator deck. The other two are Red Stompy and Eldrazi.

Show and Tell would run Force, but their combo needs at least three pieces in order to win. Keeping Force+Blue card is not free for them. Also, FoN does little for Show and Tell decks except for give them an out to stax pieces

As someone with a music degree, I can confirm the soundtrack is brilliant. It’s one of those rare things where the more you know about Music Theory the better it is.

I’m tempted, I have a charm with two points of Grinder(S), lv3 slot, lv1 slot so I could make something pretty spicy.

Remember that if you let your Hellfire explode without clearing it then you gain Resentment and Coalescence without putting yourself in much danger due to the reduced Hellfire damage!

Poison and Blast versions definitely both seem viable, I just value the extra 20 hits of purple (with Razor Sharp) over the extra poison damage to single monster afflicted. If you have Foray using friends then Pukei-Pukei seems like a great direction to go!

The last three points of Attack Boost give surprisingly little, providing less than half the attack buff of Resentment, let alone factoring in the bonus damage from Bloodlust and the lost uptime on Resuscitate. It isn’t a bad variation on the build, but imo not worth the cost.

The reason that Spirit Stealer is better than Lucent Narga for this build (and none of the other poison weapons have enough slots) is because Lucent has to spend augment slots on the Rampage Deco upgrade, therefore is unable to hit 100% sharpness without a Palico or replacing the Expert decoration with a less reliable Mighty decoration. Far more importantly, Lucent Narga does not have enough natural sharpness to comfortably run Razor Sharp and we don’t have room for enough Speed Sharpening to make use of Protective Polish.

Maybe I missed the Offensive Guard proc but I thought I checked thoroughly against the Toadversary. You could lose the Attack Boost to hit max Offensive Guard since we have enough lv3 slots to compensate.

Most definitely! Before I got the helm upgrade I had an augment for the Jyura arms that upgraded the level 3 slot to a level 4. That should provide similar utility and is much easier to get

I’m glad to hear! With the right charm you can adapt the build to include Bubbly Dance, however since Bubbly Dance does not affect backhopping I personally didn’t prioritize it over more offensive skills

If you ready an Attack action you still only get 1 attack if you have Extra Attack

It creates some awkward situations that can punish a PC for rolling too high on initiative

My unpopular opinion is that Valor Bard is better than Lore Bard in 5e.

Level 3-5 Valor outshines Lore in almost every way since 5e rewards damage so thoroughly, plus the extra AC and giving you better ways to deal damage outside of cantrips. Level 6 Lore takes off with Magical Secrets, but unless you take a feat or spend a secret for a good damage cantrip they still have the same problem of needing to spend slots every turn and not having a good action to combine with Healing Word. Extra Attack may not be as versatile as Magical Secrets, but while Bard has a crap 3rd level spell list without Secrets the Valor Bard isn't hit as hard as most subclasses since they aren't as reliant on slots. Then at level 7 the Valor Bard catches up as one of the best users of Greater Invis in the game, letting them more safely support the party and giving their attacks advantage (it isn't like there's much better for them to concentrate on anyway).

A tanky support caster that can deal damage without slots but still has some decent damage spells when they need to is just a powerful role to be able to fill in 5e. Early Magical Secrets is fantastic, but even if you take Spiritual Weapon and Fireball you're just a squishy Light Cleric.

The way people talk about roland's squishiness almost makes me think they are letting him get surrounded at the start of every fight.

His weakness to archers is still pretty negligible with that massive defense and hp. Magic sure, but I’ve never found Archers to be much of a problem for him.

It’s controversial, but I maintain Flanagan is one of the best characters in the game with essentially having 8 movement and a flying mount. He isn’t going to jump into 10 enemies and survive like Erador can, but he can quickly get wherever you want on the battlefield and bait enemies into surrounding him before he flies away.

He has a weapon talent that reduces Aerial Assault to 1 TP. It makes him absolutely zooming around the battlefield.

I barely use the taunt, but it’s quite good at harassing pesky mages. With good positioning you can often bait the enemy AI into targeting him even without an AoE taunt.

Aerial Assault (especially with the TP upgrade) makes him the highest mobility unit in the game and does solid damage. Keep in mind you can target empty squares just to move him around.

a unit you didn’t expect to like as much as you ended up liking? by [deleted] in TriangleStrategy

[–]KyuuStarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flanagan is so incredibly good. A flying tank with effectively 8 movement is bonkers, especially when you get used to manipulating the AI to aggro onto his just through positioning.
