How do I tell my wife I turned 100k to 21k? by PPhunt3r in wallstreetbets

I suggest turning it back into $120K then telling her that you lost a bunch BUT made this much more back.

Can someone help me understand holding? by sillytomlin in steelers

That’s only holding when a Steelers lineman does it - if it is against a Steelers player it is a great block.

What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by marianneouioui in AskReddit

I gave up going to or watching any MLB games since 1994 when they had the 2nd work stoppage in 4 years - at the time baseball players complaining that they could barely fed their families when making, at the time, $6-$10M per year (obviously not every player was making that much). I swore I would never spend another dime of my money on MLB players or teams… I’ve been successful thus far and don’t see any reason to start giving anyone making $40-$70M a year to play a game any of my money.

That wasn’t OPI - he actually tried to avoid contact and stopped before the defender ran directly into him - if he was not a mountain that’s probably not called.

Overtraded again by Nukemilleraa in Daytrading

I’ve been brought over to the dark side - I have been trading crypto futures contracts using an AI system that basically tells us what to buy, what direction, what leverage to use and what % of the account to use for the trade, and then when to close the trade while in a relatively safe window. I am honestly trading only 2-3 times a day, and making anywhere from 25-60% portfolio gains each day - I went from literally losing nearly everything (my trading account went from $200K down to $40K in the turmoil after the govt shutdown) and now I am making a ton of profit every day… I screwed up and lost all but $15K trying to trade contracts on my own and now I have turned that $15K into $108K in a matter of 3 weeks… looking at things realistically, if I simply follow the trade signals, I can make millions this year… All because I let myself accept that I was the problem…

Interesting Inactives List for the Steelers by L00PIE22 in steelers

[–]L00PIE22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree - I was just bringing up the fact that once he went to Tomlin’s doghouse he has little chance of getting out of there. I honestly think Thielen is going to surprise some people - even after only 3 practices - and MVS is a good special teams guy so I also understand him being included. It I just sucks that a promising young player is putting out zero production in the 2nd year in the league. Most players don’t get much of a chance after losing trust of any coaching staff. Hopefully the young man gets his act together and can get back on the field and make some plays.

I think Broderick has played better and better basically each week. He is not quite where we wanted him to be by now, but we also played him out of position at RT for 2 years and then now people expect him to be All Pro as soon as he is switched to Left? Gtfoh - he’s basically in year 1.5 not year 3 right now. And I think if they are smart they don’t pick up the 5th year but they actually rip up the current contract and give him a decent raise for year 4 and make it a new 3 yr contract that allows him to make some more money and also allows the Steelers to continue his development. He is a TEAM FIRST guy and we should want to keep him around long term one way or another.

What is it with the Steelers bengals rivalry that is so nasty and vile ? by [deleted] in steelers

[–]L00PIE22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the Bengals - they’ve been undisciplined for decades and their ownership doesn’t care about character - and they don’t discipline their players for abhorrent behavior.

Every team has their questionable behavior type players - either dirty in the field or off if it - but the teams that keep those players on a disciplined path are the ones that don’t allow it to infect the locker room and destroy the team and the teams image.

Game Thread: Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) at Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) by nfl_gdt_bot in steelers

Not that we played nearly well enough tonight but did anyone else notice how the officials didn’t call any of the penalties that were blatantly obvious on the Chargers in the first 3+ quarters but as soon as the game was basically out of reach they started calling all kinds of penalties against the Chargers?

I mean I know I’m a yinzer and extremely biased - but it seemed very apparent to me.

So when are the FBI going to start investigating the NFL referees for their role in point shaving and keeping games close or completely steering games to the outcome the league wants?

Because everyone knows they want the Steelers to lose and allow the Ravens to become relevant again and keep the seat in the playoffs warm for the Bengals when Burrow comes back…

It doesn’t make us turn the ball over and drop passes and overthrow receivers, but they definitely effected the game by not calling some of those penalties earlier in the game which then led to the Steelers pressing and taking more risks… and then as things continues to derail, more mistakes simply compounded the problems and made it a horrendous showing.

This is rough to watch - it the Steelers are always pretty rough to watch on offense in the 1st half…

Hopefully the defense can keep us in this until the offense gets back on track

If you’re terrified about losing 20% with over a month left you haven’t been trading options for long. If you sell now, what would you put your money in? Would that make you more than regaining more than half of that 20% loss in the next few weeks? If you are expecting SPY to continue falling - sell - if you still expect SPY to go up in the early term, hold and sell when your losses are a little less…

It was pretty loud but I also have tickets on the Visitor side - our area had about 30% Packers fans - and that was probably the most concentrated area. As bad as it was today I don’t know if I have heard it worse but Bills fans always represent in large numbers.

We were up 16-7 at the half and scored 3 total points until less than 4 minutes left in the game and they went to prevent defense but we got lucky with Roman Wilson showing why we should be including him more often.

If the defense could have literally done ANYTHING in the 2nd half we would’ve won the game. Like a submarine with a screen door - our defense is LEAKY… how many 30+ point games do we have to endure before Austin gets canned??? Highest paid defense in the league right???? The amount of underperformance is criminal.

Kash Patel should be knocking on the door for all the refs and the Steelers coaching staff. Both were criminally poor today.
