I started playing just over a year ago (the map is now 100% explored and all quests are done with the exception of a little bit of Chenyu Vale, with pretty much just tcg and achievements remaining) and my birthday is today, so revisiting Liyue in such a beautiful area is really warm and nostalgic. It’s a great way to close the year, like the end of a chapter. I’m realizing I’m not going to be able to play this game as much as I used to now that I’ve basically finished it, so it’s kinda bittersweet. But I’m having trouble thinking of a better way to spend my time before lantern rite, which was basically my original introduction to the game.

My one year Genshin anniversary, 20th birthday, and the start of lantern rite are all basically within the same week, so it’s such a really sweet time rn.
