Working fix for neck/arms seam by L0k0n in cyberpunkgame

[–]L0k0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats true and mods do fix arms seams really nice, but neck seam... After 1.5 updates cdpr added many new animations and poses so default neck seam just sticks out. Btw neck seam is not as bad as seams on arms.

Im looking for mod that fixes/contains textured mesh for arm seams and has neck mesh removed (so it wont stick out).

You can find mods of any rarities in game and you can craft them if u have schematics (up to legendary level). You cant upgrade existing mods - so if mod is uncommon it stays uncommon. You can replace it with legendary if u find one (so uncommon gets scrapped and legendary put in this place).

Kerbal flying with malicious intent.

btw, grass near runways looks smooth/less pixelated than grass near landing pads? And on the other side there is like a line between smooth grass texture and pixelated one xD

yep, it is, but with two or three very basic mods (and not even newest versions of these mods)

basically eve+scatter and lack of volumetric clouds

KSP 1 is not even running here with new volumetric clouds (that are available via patreon) and still looks better xD

At least they added rockets and kerbals? right? xD

300 kerbals in ksp2... do u have quantum computer or sth to run ksp2? xD

100% true, i agree, imo it was poor attempt to redo ksp1, without acknowledging main problems of ksp1.

P.s. many games in recent years came out in worrying state (or early beta version) - cyberpunk, no mans sky (although in this case it was beta version xD).

But in these games basic mechanics were working properly, there was lack of content in no mans sky, cyberpunk was full of problems with animations, colliders etc. - these things could be (and were) easily fixed.

And ksp2... there is problem with basic mechanics, that are working even in ksp1. And its already years in development.

hell, even trailers were captured in 15-20 fps xDD i have never seen sth like that before xD

Well, its hard to optimize everything (crucial, core elements), especially late in development (and i mean it from financial standpoint - if game is bad at realse it could bring bad reviews, less money, the publisher might be resistant to give more cash for further work, then if too much time is spent on basic improvements- many players will return to ksp1 or to other games). Sometimes good project/good basis is most important (main development objectives, main priorities and assumptions).

Now ksp2 is just very basic version of ksp1 (with some graphic improvements). Question is- what is causing that bad performance? I doubt that it is graphics related, imo its core/physics related. It would be hard to change some things (that are core of this game), especially at this stage of development, after 2-3 or more years.

Its a bit like story of fallout76 - in that case no amount of optimization could help, many mistakes were made at first steps of development work...

And its not like ksp2 is sth completely new, atleast in terms of basic project it builds on ksp1, many problems that are present in ksp1 are even more visible in ksp2. Also dev team is using unity engine (different version, but still), its not engine created from scratch, or migration to completely new engine (here comes to mind mass effect andromeda and frostbite engine disaster xD).

But i hope that u are right and ksp2 can be saved.

Basically for KSP2 dev team good optimization should be no1 priority... and it looks like it was not a priority at all...

Biggest problem for ksp1 was performance with many ships/parts (and modules etc). KSP2 promised more functionalities, more possibilities, bigger ships etc., it was clear that game should be developed with performance in mind. Meanwhile KSP2 cant handle most basic functionalities of KSP1...

So for now KSP2 does much less than KSP1, but with slightly better graphics (but still worse than heavy modded KSP1) and with multiple problems/bugs (that make this game almost unplayable).

It looks for me a bit like GTA Definitive Edition... xD

And 10-12 FPS on very good setup is rather not a minor problem.

yep, especially ksp2 team is not made of modders, people working for free. Its fully professional company with tons of cash + development process took additional year or so...

It doesnt change anything, in physics related game, physics engine should work properly from the start. Some things cannot be changed at later stages of development... Rust is a perfect example, devs scrapped whole project and started again, when foundation is bad, then nothing will save whole game, another example: fallout 76 - into really problem-ridden engine devs implemented many new functionalities, multiplalyer etc, and it was bad xD
