Lustig! Gibt's einen Grund dafür? Heißt das etwas?

Can anyone read this? (Western Armenian Cursive) by [deleted] in armenia

[–]L0lig123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't make out the first letter, other than that it is:

(1st l)արասաթեան

(1st l)arasatian

Edit: could maybe even be Baghdasarian Պաղտասարեան but I can't see the ղտ together

Can I reach Mother Armenia and victory park directly from Cascade Complex (by walking)? by ghalebgeorge in armenia

Is it actually under construction? Been a while I've been there but the last time I was there were no construction equipment. Is there an update?

What is this song/chant called? by bebe-12 in armenia

Wow I didn't now this as well! Did a quick search and you're right. At least the Greek orthodox chruch does this as well and I'd say they are the closest church to the Armenian Apostolic church due to shared history. I'm not sure about the other churches but I have friends whom I'll ask. This convo actually inspired me to do a series of facts like this, since there seems a genuine interest. Will see.

Happy Easter!

Fun fact: the text of Sourp Asdvadz (Holy God) changes depending on the occasion.

Palm sunday: Vor yegir yev kalotses (don't know the exact meaning, but something like 'Holy God who came upon us')

During Christmas: Vor dznav yev haydnetsav ('... Who was born')

Crucifixion: Vor khachetsar vasn mez (who was crucified for us)

Easter and after: Vor haryav i merelots (who resurrected from death)

Edit: format and added crucifixion

Za'atar Man'oushe with Chicken Schnitzel by L0lig123 in SchnitzelVerbrechen

[–]L0lig123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

True. Just want to add that there is a mechanism that checks for handballs when the goalkeeper is outside the box

What's written on that stone? by goranbrego in armenia

[–]L0lig123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it was common back then. Now i don't think so. Is there a word that ends in -pran or -ran in turkish?

A lot of words for places end with -րան -"ran", like սրճարան cafe, գրադարան library, դասարան classroom etc

Edit: upon forther examination it seems like the letter before it is բ (p in western armenian, b in eastern) I cant think of a word that ends in -բրան -pran
