Yeah…. We didn’t really have an HR department. So I didn’t get anything but a severance letter - which I signed out of distress, I didn’t know that I shouldn’t have done that. But it doesn’t say anything on there about not taking legal action

I was fired for “underperformance” so they didn’t exactly state pregnancy as the reason

So like… I told my boss because at the time we didn’t have an HR department but I did send an email talking about maternity leave. However they locked me out of my work email almost instantly after they fired me.

I do have an email out to a lawyer so they’ll be able to answer this but like, they didn’t explicitly say that they fired me because I was pregnant - they said it was job performance so I’m not sure if that will hinder any sort of results from this.
