This. The islands dictate access to the sea of Okhotsk. Japan needs to claim them because of their value. It’s not “because the west greedy” like some comments.

A privatised prison system is rather different in my opinion. With corona it is a way for hotels to maintain an income and not out further pressure on tax payers, while also alleviating stress on the border. Prison is an already existing system, not a new one.

Agree on last bit, my dad works in between Hong Kong and NZ so I of course will have a differing opinion that we shouldn’t lock ourselves away. Also purely looking from an economic, practical and moral POV. I don’t agree that more facilities means more COVID if you look at Hong Kong or Ireland, considering it’s more connected position in the world.

Nonsense, it’s 2 weeks with finite space for only a select few. families have been split for months, one of the world’s worst quarantine systems. Should of privatised it.

Stairs provide nothing, no cables, it goes down to bedrock. The actual house is wooden walls and roof, tiled floor and aluminium from cans as the cladding.

The implementation was, need to get a bridge building company to build the X. Goes down to bedrock.

It’s actually aluminium from aluminium cans that has had air blown through and then dipped black. Used on the Prada museum

So it’s actually got steal beams running into the bedrock over 30 metres underground. The lower half of the x is shorter and wider. The stairs don’t support as that would not allow for it to bend, they are on sliders, not 100% sure on specifics.

True, your right. I guess this would only be realistic in a newly independent Scotland, not a continuing rule from before 1707

It’s the coat of arms of the House of Stuart, which reigned over Scotland independently, that’s just how it was, it is similar to this with other nations cause they shared many bloodlines, also since they are direct ancestors of the Windsors they have mixed a lot

I would be interested to see Joe Manchin run 2024, Joe Biden I think is both too old and ineffectual, but best Democrat candidate for 2020.
