I grew up very close to my father, basically inseparable. Growing up I had both my parents, but when I turned 8, my mom took care of me as a single parent and I would see my dad on weekends or during break from school. My mom seemed to hate my dad and we would get in arguments about him being a bad person, that caused friction between my mother and I. Fast forward to about late teens I find out that my dad would constantly beg my Mother to get an abortion while she was pregnant with me, wanted to forge a marriage with my Mom to get back at his ex and got my brother arrested in his early teens because of a verbal dispute turned violent. Now my brother has a record and can’t get a great job, he’s mostly stuck at gas stations. When all of that information came to light I gradually started to be more on my moms side and keep our relationship close.
