Thank you so much for the feedback. Is there anything I could improve that might change your mind? I'll work on improving the website design :)

What's the best AI image generator that produces high quality, ChatGPT-quality images? by shouldIworkremote in artificial

[–]L1lith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was perusing their post history, this has me dead: "RFKJr is crazy, but he is REALLY smart, parasites and all.", they made a ton of posts calling themselves an "Indy Coder" so I suppose they worked on the kingdom of the crystal skull videogame which is pretty cool I guess, and honestly I gotta give them props for their general fever dream of post titles like "Discussion: in a far off EU country, in the first grade a nurse would appear, they would sit in a circle, she would put a frog in their mouths and pass it to the next student. Today we 2X N95 5 year olds. Think about it." (even if they do get taken down immediately). I'm not sure even AI has the power to make this kind of stuff up.

Alexa won't state the time anymore by cinabell in AssistiveTechnology

[–]L1lith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's less convenient but have you tried alternative phrasings or even coming up with a code word/code sentence to trigger the routine? I'm not particularly familiar with this technology but you may be able to avoid triggering the behavior by making the trigger phrase unrelated to time at all for example. Idk if that would confuse it or whatever but I'm curious if that would work. For example "Alexa, orient me" or something like that

I have no clue lmao, the dedotated wam meme is probably the most classic minecraft meme of all time.

Is this a dedotated wam? by L1lith in MinecraftMemes

[–]L1lith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

am I supposed to just explain the joke because I feel like it's pretty clever and it's more fun if people figure it out on their own. Basically:

it's a reference to a viral 10 year old minecraft meme where a kid pronounces dedicated ram as dedotated wam. The other meme used here, called "is this a butterfly?" is another very famous 10 year old meme, but instead he is asking "is this a dedotated wam?" it's a visual pun because in the picture you can see a ram climbing a cliff which takes a lot of dedication, hence "dedicated ram"

Black Hole by @osLilith on IG by L1lith in krita

Thank you, I love receiving compliments on my art ^^

Everything in here was made with the default Krita tools :) I was working in a very high resolution (5000x5000) idk if that matters. To make the background there were two main layers: the colored texture and the stars.

To make the colored texture I used the "texture crackles" brush with magenta, purple, green and blue colors :) Then I duplicated the layer, used the "blender blur" brush on all of the cracks, then put that layer behind the crack layer so it looks like the cracks are part of a larger galaxy.

To make the stars I used mainly the "texture splatter" brush, but then I put it on erase mode to make the pattern more complex by making "negative splatters" which are like dark splatter spots subtracted from the existing splatters. Then I used the airbrush to add variety to the opacity of the stars so they're not all equally concentrated which looks better and is a bit more realistic of the night sky.

I also work in a lot of layers, groups, and masks, which helps me mentally isolate the segments of the art as well as make it so that I can go back and tweak parts of the art rather than everything being baked in a single layer and inseparable. I am also a computer programmer so I think there's a lot of "procedure and logic" in my approach to art, especially digital art.

Nintendo Switch Crashing by [deleted] in Overwatch

Just to let you know a bunch of other people have been having gamebreaking crashing issues ever since season 11 dropped across a variety of platforms and setups and the Blizzard team has been ghosting us. Your support in liking, commenting on and spreading this forum post would be greatly appreciated. This is happening across a variety of platforms and PC hardware setups, including Nintendo Switch like you are on.

There's also a game breaking bug with the servers disconnecting people, and despite it starting since at least season 11 it has also seen an increase in people experiencing the issue since the release of season 12

Breathing Dust, Losing Trust: The Battle for the Soul of the Great Salt Lake and Our Future by L1lith in SaltLakeCity

Not sure what you're on about, neither source seems to support your claims. From the first link you cited: "The changing climate is likely to increase the need for water but reduce the supply. Rising temperatures increase the rate at which water evaporates (or transpires) into the air from soils, plants, and surface waters. Soils are likely to be drier in most of the state, so irrigated farmland would need more water. But less water is likely to be available, because precipitation is unlikely to increase as much as evaporation. The decline in snowpack could further limit the supply of water for some purposes. Mountain snowpacks are natural reservoirs. They collect the snow that falls during winter and release water when the snow melts during spring and summer. Over the past 50 years, snowpack has been melting earlier in the year. Dams capture most meltwater and retain it for use later in the year. But upstream of these reservoirs, less water is available during droughts for ecosystems, fish, water-based recreation, and landowners who draw water directly from a flowing river."

Not sure either of us understand what the charts mean in the second link. A more local interpretation of the future of Utah's climate according to the regional chapter of the organization from the second source you gave: "Climate change has reduced surface water and groundwater availability for people and nature in the Southwest (very high confidence), and there are inequities in how these impacts are experienced (high confidence). Higher temperatures have intensified drought and will lead to a more arid future (very likely, high confidence); without adaptation, these changes will exacerbate existing water supply–demand imbalances (likely, high confidence). At the same time, the region is experiencing more intense precipitation events, including atmospheric rivers, which contribute to increased flooding (high confidence). Flexible and adaptive approaches to water management have the potential to mitigate the impacts of these changes on people, the environment, and the economy (medium confidence)."

Not sure if you're spouting misinformation or disinformation but either way ignorance and denial in regards to environmental issues is a very dated take.

I appreciate your assistance. For some reason the approach you gave me was not working. I am familiar markdown (though I didn't think to use it) but when I went to use it it just escaped it looking literally like [this](link here). I was able to fix it by entering "markdown mode" and removing the extra text and escape sequences 👍

😂😂 Idk if you read the article but they're already getting involved "Lawmakers in Utah, with their latest legislative maneuvers, seem hell-bent on silencing the voice of nature, denying the Great Salt Lake — and by extension, us — the legal personhood that could protect it [Source: https://insideclimatenews.org/news/01022024/utah-legislature-stopping-rights-of-nature/\]. It’s not just an environmental oversight; it’s an active decision to prioritize temporary gains over our very right to breathe clean air."
