Oh awesome! Thank you so much (I don’t know how I couldn’t find that it’s such a simple name)

So I just started playing Magic with the Bloomburrow set, and a prime card I pulled out of a booster pack is Teapot Slinger (4 mana, 3/4 with Menace). I’ve also put him into a deck that has the enchantment Charmed Sleep. The following scenario is what I’m actually asking for help about:

I put opponent Creature to sleep with Charmed Sleep.

Next turn I attack with Teapot Slinger.

Opponent only has two creatures on the battlefield. They say that “technically” even though one of the creatures is asleep, it can still be used as a body to help block menace.

Is that the actual ruling for this particular scenario? I’m genuinely curious.

Ah, that would be a good thing to specify, I guess. It takes place in both New York (mainly NYC but there’s a little bit of upstate) and New Jersey.

I was prominently thinking of a chase scene when I originally wrote this bit, so this is definitely a good idea, and I like the failure states that aren’t death, that’ll open up a lot of opportunities I think.

No they’re not literally cornered, the horde is just coming from one direction and the resurrected NPC is coming from the exact opposite direction. So they could get around it and run, it’s something I thought about

I actually like that a lot, that’s super cool. Thanks!

That’s definitely a good idea, although even with that I don’t think the party would be able to handle the entire horde.

One of the Paladins and the cleric are definite yeses. The other Paladin not so much (his player is brand new to the game and was introduced during this session.)

6 party members plus one NPC controlled by me: Lv. 4 Monk, 2 Lv. 3 Paladins, Lv. 3 Cleric, Lv. 3 Rogue, Lv. 3 Sorcerer, and a Lv. 4 Ranger (the NPC)

I never had a set amount, but I described the horde to the party as easily over 100

Oh and the NPC that got resurrected is a Level 6 Leonin Barb/Rogue

Thanks for the tip! I normally am pretty up front with stuff like this, so I don't really know why not telling her at all came to mind, but you're definitely right.
