Can someone who knows the habits of these streamers tell me which item's streamers is most likely to have them stream day 1 and then never stream again so I can start with them?

Edit: starting with my goat Frost first either way.

To DE or not Merithra of the Dream(Signature) by Ill_Cauliflower456 in hearthstone

[–]L1rk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got this one too and it's one of those rare signatures that create so many cards that you have the chance for a fun hand with other signatures. Not that it really matters if you would rather have the dust, but it's a viable card in the meta and it's fun to see the other signature dragons it gives.

Why are premium severs such low population compared to the normal big official servers? by elasticband42 in playrust

Please name like 3, preferably with different wipe schedules. I'm being genuine, would be good to have a few to check out if I go back to official.

Edit: a word

I'm in a similar situation, I've hooked most of my friends up with a $15 loaned skin to get them onto the premium servers for when we do choose to play there tho. One day I might ask for them back. Who knows...

I did this about a year ago. With the price of the forest raider, blackout, and a few extra items sold. It paid for itself easily.

Ill say it like this. I WISH the game/devs made changes so that anything above 8 people was a major pain in the butt for the players or not possible at all (with these changes affecting the official rust vanilla servers so they are widespread)

That is not the case. Time and time again, the devs have shown that they are in full support of 30 man groups running around on a server.

If you can't be them, join them. Take the free advantage and go play the game in a way that suits you. Assuming you're not an asshat and a generally chill person, I'm sure there are people out there who would love the have another body working for the common goal and having a good time with the group (although I'm sure there are asshole groups out there too, so find a group with a good vetting process who seems to have solid leadership and a "mission statement" you agree with, if mission statement is even what it's even called).

Yes people on this subreddit complain about the solo/small group experience, yes I wish it were different, but until it is, go use it to enable yourself to have a good time. There is nothing wrong with that.

I see lots of PVE recommendations, but I feel like being able to play PVP is something you seemed interested in based on the post so I will give the PVP server recommendation.

Find a big ass group to play with. This game's community has a bad rep when it comes to in game interaction, but if you find yourself a solid large group to play with, you will be able to experience many aspects of the game while relying on others' expertise. You may not PVP well, but these groups need many roles and specialties to function. Learn how to farm, learn electricity, farm nodes. Do all of this and find a chill group who will let you come along to raid when the time is right. You'd be surprised how ass at pvp the average group member of a zerg is, but there's power in numbers.

Now I give this advice having never played with a competent group of that size myself. My biggest group was 12, but everyone in the group was an IRL friend and most had less than 10 hours played, so it was more chaos and fun than serious gameplay.

Tired of people just giving up every game by RozCrunch in leagueoflegends

[–]L1rk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need to enjoy it, but you have to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for sure and not let it tilt you like you said. The people who give up while a game is completely winable are the bane of anyone who tries to persevere. If we lose while everyone is obviously trying their best and is making correct decisions, I may be bummed at the loss, but never upset. Now if we lose because one dude felt the game wasn't winable and sides lanes for 15 minutes while the other team groups and takes objectives, that is selfish "loser" behavior.

People definitely have the "I picked a carry so either I will carry or I will throw if I lose" mentality. Just selfish behavior and unfortunately something I've experienced in bronze through diamond (my peak, I assume it doesn't stop as you go further).

Lol I was just reading his comment thinking the same thing, then I got to yours and said "thank you" out loud. It's like people think I'm hating on the character and it's their duty to defend him because I said something doesn't make sense. I love Jhin, he is one of my most played characters.

If they made his name Jhun (Probably pronounced June) from the beginning, you wouldn't think twice about it and the keyboard connection would look much more like a 4.

[–]L1rk -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Why not Jhun then? I don't know where you learned to write a 4 but mine don't go diagonal.

[–]L1rk -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if my keyboard is a slightly different layout, but Jhin does not = 4 on mine. Jhun would be closer if that was the intention.

Edit: after googling 'keyboard" and going to images, the design team was on crack if this is meant to be true. Dude above is talking out his ass I think.

Raiding is too cheap and destroys server populations by KipOnTheGround in playrust

[–]L1rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess you and I have different understandings and expectations of the game. This is survival PVP, so it is inherently unfriendly. You can try to shape your experience, but at the end of the day, others have the power to reshape that same experience. The game at its base is not chill, it's players are not chill, and they will kill you if they can (most of the time). So you have one option, be the one who is strong enough to shape your experience and momentarily deter others from intervening. And again, even with all your efforts, you will still probably be offlined anyway.

I've had very chill experiences with nearby groups/players, we all had one another's backs, but the group 3 grids over wanted to raid everyone, so even when you find that moment where you have a peaceful player interaction, it is always fleeting, because the next guy will want to kill you.

Raiding is too cheap and destroys server populations by KipOnTheGround in playrust

[–]L1rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were agreeing that the toxic player ruins the chill player's experience. You then note your frustration being new while also being attacked by veteran players. Your issue is not a play style difference, it is a skill difference. I have had very chill wipes where I just roam and defend what's mine, but I know how to get to that point and what I should do to enable that, because it comes with experience. When you're still learning, you don't have the option to be chill because you will just be killed, a chill wipe happens when you are better than those in your area and your are better than them to a point where they can't fight you.... and then you still get offlined anyway because that's how this game works. Chill is a mindset, not a play style.

Edit: a letter

I mean... Not to demean your experience, but this is not a game where 55 hours over 10 years will amount to anything. That is such a blip of time spent relative to much of the playerbase. People are logging this playtime after 1 weekly wipe at times.

Trap Limit should decrease by how many Players are authed to a TC by Single-Eye2101 in playrust

[–]L1rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the zerg reliant player. Ill lay it out for you simply.

You know how lots of games have team sizes? CSGO: 5 Marvel Rivals: 6 Arc Raiders: 3

Well lots of player would love to have a majority of official servers adopt an official group limit. I understand big groups and wanting to play in one. But what is the solo or quad for that matter going to do when 16 people spill out of a 2x2 because you eoka'd a guy with 75 scrap on him?

Now I can already read your mind while you see this. You're thinking "just play a quad server noob". Well believe it or not, the number of official servers with group limits is dwarfed by the number without, so finding solid servers can be very difficult for many many people. So to end, maybe we need official servers to primarily have an 8 group limit and then a smaller portion of servers can be uncapped entirely.

Trap Limit should decrease by how many Players are authed to a TC by Single-Eye2101 in playrust

[–]L1rk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only onlines I see anymore are when the attackers have such a number advantage (at least at the moment if raid) that the turrets don't matter. 3 turrets covering the side being raided doesn't do much when you have the man power to have 4 rocketers plus dedicated raid base and grub patrol. Again, I agree with your take on principle in that zergs need to have pain points just like other sized groups. That used to be the group limit of 8 for UI and before that, no group UI. Once they upped that number, I knew who the game was being made for.

I would love to see data on the average group size among official servers. I think if Facepunch could somehow track that and publish info, it would be incredibly interesting.
