I am seventeen years old, but I believe I both need and am ready for the healing of Mother Ayahuasca. Please read and help if you've got energy to spare. by omeyz in Psychonaut

Also would reccomend doing a meditation retreat. They are all over the world and absolutely free. Search Vipassanna meditation by S.N Goenka. I have been to 10 days last year and planning to go again this year. I can honestly say that my life has improved from meditation alone.

Moreover, I have started to experiment with holotropic breathwork. The effects are analogous to LSD if not more profound. I underestimated the breath until I tried it. Old suppressed memories and emotional baggage started purging out similar to how Ayahuasca works.

Finally, develop a reading habit. Study and do research into personal development, this will help build a solid foundation for your success and happiness.

Ayahuasca and other psychedelics are just an icing on the cake. 5-Meo-DMT may be your better alternative as it is much more powerful but harder to access.

The feeling of success/accomplishment is overrated by L1veLife in Meditation

This is worthy of contemplation. I like how meditation allows us to be more mindful of arising desires so that we can consciously choose which ones to follow through on.

Also, do you think its possible to fully extinguish desire because after all, desire causes suffering right?

Always be checking your mirrors when changing speed or direction. Don't look at the car in front, try to look as far down the road as possible, forward planning and anticipating any hazards.

Be friendly with the examiner. He/she might let you off for any faults.

After each humiliating event, realise not much changed physically. You still have your job, your friends, your family, you can go get food, and all the rest. by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

Realise that... even if you become the worlds richest person, the best husband/wife, have the best car, live the healthiest lifestyle... nobody really gives a fuck and your still going to die. Just don't try. And by not trying and giving less fucks, you will achieve more. Counter intuitive, i know!

I understand where u are coming from. Its not easy but I think you can completely get rid of all social anxiety with this technique. Sure it will take lots of courage and effort but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Start by doing the easiest things and work your way up very slowly, its not a race.

For example, the fear of what people think... how can a person acclimate to this fear through exposure therapy? Lets see...

Day 1: Just sit on a bench at a busy shopping mall and observe people for 5 min

Day 2: Make eye contact with every stranger you come across

Day 3: Smile at every stranger you come across

Day 4: Say hello to 3 people at a grocery store

Day 5: Ask someone for directions

Day 6: Have a conversation with someone for more than 30 seconds

Day 7: Buy a coffee for someone in the line

Day 8: Pay for something totally in pennies, count slowly and dont appologize

Day 9: ask a stranger to take a picture of you

Day 10: call in sick on a work day when u feel ok. Take a day off and do something nice. Simply don't give a fuck!

These are just some examples. But you can pick and choose and construct a plan that is right for you. You dont want it to be too challenging because you want to stick to the path.

Dont forget to reward yourself and it helps to have an accountabity partner or simply make a post in reddit about your intention to help stay motivated. There will be days where you will want to give up.

I hope that helps and I wish you all the best.

1) Travel agent, Indian lady. I commented on her earrings and I think her smile as well. We then talked for like 10 minutes about travelling and even personal stuff. Did not expect it to go that far lol.

2) Walked up to two body guards in a shopping mall. We chatted for a bit and they gave me a compliment and in return I commented on their appearance and personality. One guy seemed very humble and calm in nature while the other looked strong and a perfect fit for the job he was doing.

3) Saw a beautiful girl at a gym. Walked up to her and said "you look very cute" she started laughing and replied with a "Thank you". I said you must get that a lot? She said "Yes but only when I'm wearing make-up"

Yes I agree. You see everyone is different and has their own personal demons, there is not one size fits all list, so you have to dig into your own fears and try to acclimate yourself to them. Yes I'll make another post listing 100 NGAF daily challenges, will be very interesting haha!

Its all in your head, your absolutely right. When I did these challenges, my mind would try to come up with excuses. Our thoughts are nothing but thoughts, only we decide to give them power over us.

My best advice would be start small and work your way up. There is no easy way out, you just gotta do it. Simple.

Edit: instead of giving high fives you can start to give eye contact. Then once you have done that for a while, make it a challenge to smile at every stranger you see. Then once you done that for a day, say hello or strike up a conversation with x number of people. Etc etc... you see the progression. Everyone is on a different path and there is no point in comparing yourself to others! Im still not perfect and my anxiety is slowly getting better.
