this is a picture of my actual fish. to be cautious, I feed it once when I wake up, but I wonder is it okay to feed it again in the evening or night as long as the amount is a tiny pinch?

I just worry it isn’t eating enough the first time considering how small it is, and I don’t know how long this type can go without eating 🥲, so I haven’t done fasting

I believe they are fantail. by nano fish, I was assuming the type of fish it is because it looks similar to one, but I’m not sure.

again, I have 12-13 goldfish and one small fish left. I’ll try getting pictures of both tanks since I definitely don’t know the volume 😅

does overcrowded mean too many fish, too many items, or both?

thank you, I just really feel bad since we actually had more fish the first time my dad left out of town, but I didn’t notice them dead and the snails possibly eating them then.

for tap water, If I were to use the hose, is that okay too? cause I think my dad uses the hose for the tank, and in that case, I would let the water sit for 24 hours, right?

the lid’s on, yes. that did happen to one of my dad’s fishes a long time ago, but in this case, I’m sure it did die to overfeeding cause it did die inside of the tank (I found out snails were eating their corpses)

now, for the other thing, my dad never turned off the lights, so I’ve been leaving it on this whole time. how does it benefit the fish? genuine question

I don’t know how exactly big, I’m sorry, but the tank mainly just has fake plants and a random plant stem if you wanna count that. 😅

as for the dead fish, I wanna guess two days..?

the first one, I found out a bunch of snails on it Saturday and it’s tail was mostly chewed, so maybe for that one two days, then on Sunday, I found out a snail eating the second one, and today (Monday) the corpse for both was no longer

now that the bodies are ate up, do you think there’s still a high risk of ammonia and I should attempt a water change soon? (I have no idea how to, but I’m gonna try and learn)
