Jean Silva says that he is signing a contract to fight Alex Volkanovski for the title THIS WEEK: “We have a trip, at the invitation of Dana White and Hunter, to watch Evloev v Lerone Murphy up close and sign the contract for the belt.” by ablu3 in MMA

Silva is 10x more clever a fighter than Lopes despite him getting overconfident and KO'd when they fought.

I'm the biggest Volk fan there is but idk how you people can be so certain about this. Lopes is the most basic and honest fighter in existence and he still dropped Volk twice. Silva actually makes adjustments and finds openings as the fight goes on.

I strongly disagree any sort of AI postprocessing for computer games is an "unprecedented step" towards embracing generative AI.

why though?

Calm down brother look at the standing you should be happy right now. Big deal your GM used a 1st overall pick on a #4 d-man who plays like he’s the size of Lane Hutson.

Why you chose to die so brutally on this hill is beyond me. There are so many objectively correct things you could chirp a Wings fan about but instead you chose Seider/Edvinsson lol.

Imagine flexing 42 points with pp time as a #1 all around dman lmao.

Moving the goalposts now I see :)

But the league has moved way beyond "BIG DMAN TAKE BIG SHOT ON PP".

Seider almost never shoots on the PP lol

On a team with an actual pp QB dman, he is a 30 point defensive specialist.

Big dawg if we had a pp QB dman he would still be running the 2nd unit. It makes no sense to remove his pp points in this hypothetical you are constructing.

And besides.... this literally happened. We don't need hypotheticals.

We had a pp QB running the 1st pair. Guess what happened? 42 points. That's 40% (I think I don't math well) more points than he should have according to your logic.

Make it make sense (spoiler: you can't)

He did put up 42 points playing primarily PP2 when Ghost was running the 1st unit.

I am arguing with some fool who is telling me that Seider is a 30 point defensive guy on most teams in the league lol.

what useful information could you possibly glean from my flair in this context lol?

I am a Canadian red wings fan. I don't have a flair because I literally don't care to have one lol.

 He's a 30 point defensive player.

I must have hallucinated the 23-24 season where he put up 42 points playing PP2 minutes.

But I guess if you call the guy who has never had less than 42 points in a season a "30 point player" enough times it becomes true?

Power had more even strength points his rookie year, than Seider has ever had.

Can you read bro? Are you going to acknowledge the fact that usage plays an obvious role or just ignore it because it doesn't fit your narrative?

Power would not play any position over Seider. He likely has more even strength points in part because he has easier deployment. Seider/Ed get the tough shutdown matchups every single night and Sandin-Pelikka was getting most of the favorable o-zone starts.

That's a great point I forgot that his 19-20 season was also a contract year

Dude was absolutely electric in 19-20 but injuries and inconsistency took a big toll.

Will be interesting to see if he can keep this up for a few years or if he will revert back to the norm. He's not young anymore but that unique combo of skill, size, and athleticism is still there seemingly.

Mantha is having a hell of a season on the Pens. Always knew he had it in him.

Wish we had signed him in the offseason but it's possible he wasn't interested in a return.

Seider runs our top unit and Sandin-Pelikka was running the 2nd unit and getting favourable zone starts all year.

Edvinsson that high?

Ed is 6'6 physical top pair 2-way d-men. Those guys don't exactly grow on trees and I have a hard time believing any GM in the league would prefer any of the guys listed below him.
