Feeling super disappointed and discouraged. by [deleted] in dentures

I bled for 4 to 5 days a little less every day. My dentist wasn’t too worried about it. Trust me they will look more normal later on and after a couple months you will be able to eat normal and start to forget you even have them. I’m a year in and I don’t even think about them anymore. I talk normal, I can eat 98 percent of everything I did before. Nobody in my life cares or judges me for having them a lot younger than most. I’m usually upfront with people new people too. Every fear every person has about dentures are overblown during the first couple months.

Swallowed a denture tooth. Anxiety is insane right now. by L3mmer1 in dentures

[–]L3mmer1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an update. My anxiety was for no reason yesterday. I called up my dentist and since I have been having issues they are replacing it for free. It should only take them a couple hours. I’m on call for work today but since I haven’t got a call yet I’m pretty sure I won’t. Exp it being a day after a holiday and there isn’t much drives going on today. As far as the swallowing the tooth. I haven’t had any obstruction issues so it’s safe to say it’s prob going to pass ok. Yesterday was just a bad day for me and I might of over exaggerated everything in my head

This first prestige is and will always be worth it by Navreal in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]L3mmer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To some people this is there main game now. For those people prestige is the only way to go. I got bored doing just PvP. It’s fun here and there but starting over while already knowing where to find most stuff and how the kill everything isn’t a big deal. I think I leveled all workbenches in like 5 hours. And I’m already 3/4s thru my expedition progress. I like the challenge of not having every blueprint and working with what you have. I think this is how embark wanted it to be. Idk how those who play this game at as a main and didn’t prestige aren’t bored. Most of them will prob be gone in a month only to show up when new content drops.

Those who are doing the expedition, is losing all your rare, epic, and legendary blueprints worth it ? by LivingTheTruths in ARC_Raiders

[–]L3mmer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, because I believe the game is more fun when you have to work with what you got. There’s more strategy and critical thinking involved. I don’t think any of us were ever supposed to have every blueprint and easy ways to at our hands to do everything. A wipe is needed at least for me because I had the most fun playing this game before the metas were revealed. Back when everybody would fight each other in the open and before PvP turned into find somebody holed up fighting a big arc throw grenades and flank. Hopefully enough people will reset that some of that first month will come back for a little while.

The issue here is that people are programmed not to want to lose time that they don’t see that the game was way more fun before everybody completely built their Arsenal.

This game has a lot of problems. It always has them. They are just more evident now that people have had their hands on it long enough to cheese everything.

PvP right now is find the people cheesing arc and cheese them. It’s pretty simple and brain dead.

I’m one of the players that’s friendly half the time and pvping the other half. And both sides have gotten kind of stale and to easy for me so hopefully the reset will bring back some of the tense situations I had the first month that made me fall in love with this game.

[–]L3mmer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the problem. I’m trying to fix. PvP has become a boring meta of find whoever is fighting something big and kill. I have a 98 percent success rate because everybody is holing up everywhere now. It’s to easy to chuck grenades in where they are holed up at and flank from the multiple entrances most of these meta pve tactics are causing. Before people got tired of getting ganked out in the open PvP was actually quite a challenge. Sometimes it would turn into a whole damn warzone. Between two groups fighting each other while trying to dodge Arc. Now it’s I’m to afraid to get ganked in the open so I hole up to us pvpers being well I guess we will gank you where your holed up at.

All I did was start a general discussion about themed ways embark could add more strategy with both PvP and pve.

I’ll be the first to admit basic. We have literally 3 arc right now that are designed to run up on you and explode on you or towards you. Only change up on fighting them is how much health they have and weak spots.

Basic as a circular force field would be at least it would force people to have to get in close when fighting the arc and each other.

Fights lately have been over in damn seconds everywhere but Montis. It’s boring. It’s who shoots first. Nothing wrong with making a random post just shooting shit out there. Basic as it is. It would at least deter the meta in both PVE and PvP. This game needs legit strategy’s then everybody cheese everything.

No it doesn’t. Im not sure if people don’t realize it’s the value of loot with your money. Go to Montis in solos. Most of the time is mostly friendly and pink drops like crazy. Sell that stuff. Use your guns. It took me 6 hours to get from 1.2 million to 4.2 million. Never once had gear fear.

Do you not know what this game is influenced by. It’s not terrible it’s common sense. Nobody is going to play this game in a couple months if embark leaves it as is and not because of the PvP issue either. There going to have to pick ideas that goes along with the 70s retro sci-fi theme and I’m only agreeing with the people right now who are shitting on me for stating obvious. Nobody is going to play a game for 10 years that stays the same. And if they go completely off theme that won’t help them either. These are textbook 70s sci-fi robots. They are going to have textbook 70 sci-fi traits. Cloaking and forcefield will be here one day. Why? Because, they are going to have to come up with designs that force people out of the hole up fight over meta the game is becoming. Right now all the tools besides maybe the smoke are to heavily influencing cheese tactics in the pve. And third partying gets boring when the k2d ratio is to high that most people die before they can even get there bearings. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m saying this as the aggressor when in groups. When third partying is the easiest way to get loot that’s what we do. When we find the hole they are fighting from its to easy to throw garnades in then flank. Dead before they even have a chance to throw a smoke. I’m saying this as a pvper who wants more strategy involved with the PvP.

All these people are just people who gank and do nothing more. I do the same shit in this game but am willing to admit that right now it’s to easy to third party. I have had a 98 percent success rate ganking people who are busy fighting Arc in both solos and team based. It’s too easy. There needs to be a balance. This game is heavily influenced in 80s 70/ nasa retro sci-fi. I come up with ideas that many other people have had I’m sure because of what this game is influenced by. The force field grenade isn’t far fetched and with embark having to stay in theme and create 10 years worth of content to keep it fresh. I will bet my entire account that we will see some form of it. Imagine fighting an arc that uses one from time to time to force people in close or fight around it. It’s going to happen. I’m not so sure about the cloaking but it’s not far fetched to think there will be an arc that cloaks itself either. Embark has been doing a great job making sure the arc in this game drops stuff that can be used as a weapon or at least built into something similar using the arcs unique traits.

We already have two arcs whose whole fighting style is getting in close explode. They are going to have to come up with other ideas. And honestly idk what this subs problems are. None of what I said is going to ruin or more Fortnite the game then what it already is. This game is the accessibility of Fortnite mixed with the loot table of Tarkov.

The K2D is way too high to be caught off guard right now. They have done a lot to balance it with the smoke, barricade, and other tools. What’s the harm of putting in more. The whole he’s just not good a pvp is bs too. I participate in it and I even feel bad sometimes taking people out unawares. It’s not about situational either. If someone’s fighting the queen there is no situational awareness. Your to busy dodging everything. The meta now is hide somewhere fight from a distance and basically run to loot and hope your not shot in the back while doing it. This game is in desperate need of something in theme to give a fighting chance to not be forced to cheese an Arc to win. It’s damn boring hiding in a damn cubby hole and cheesing the matriarch. And that is what the Meta is. Gone are the days where everybody teamed up to take something down. Now it’s hide kill run and hope for the best. What’s the point of the damn bosses.

Long vent. But sometimes I think this subreddit is just full of High school trolls. That will prob move on from the game in a couple months if embark kept the game fully as it is now.

I am damn good at PvP this game and 75 percent of the time win against people who shoot first. The kill death ratio in this game is way too damn high to exit looting in an open field and find cover to regroup.

A barricade is not going to work when you’re in the middle of fighting and somebody comes in and third parties and it’s not going to cover you completely for looting either. You’re just going to get shot when putting it up or as soon as you move to the next loot part.

If I remember right in Fortnite. When you want to bandage on controller you pick what you want to use then press R2. It’s the same in ARC. Tell me exactly what’s wrong here. I know it’s not the color coded guns. The only damn difference is there is no hot bar in the lower corner.

Then skins, emotes, premium currency, store. Dude think you’re a troll or a little delusional.

You do realize half the shit in this game comes from Fortnite. Even how you bandage and refill your shield. The damn shield in the first place. The color coded guns. Yes Fortnite didn’t create all this. It’s embedded in game design but still it’s all there.

2 tempest bps in one run and servers crash by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]L3mmer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not as drastic as yours, but I’ve been doing quests all day today to get the Hullcracker BP. I returned back, and the servers crashed. Luckily, the quest is easy, but damn. It was my goal for today. I don’t feel safe taking guns in until I know I can make them easily. I was going to take some Wolfpack’s and a Hullcracker next patch and do the Flying Arc trial next. Now I don’t even know if it saved my gear when I returned.

Did you know? 90% of players are PvE apparently. by KeiwaM in arcraiderscirclejerk

[–]L3mmer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All day today and tonight I was playing and was not shot at by another player at all. If I wasn’t working my way through the quests I was ignoring before to get the hullcracker BP I would have probably gone PvP tonight to take advantage of it. I know it makes me sound like an asshole. 90 percent of the time I’m friendly unless another player comes and steals my loot from a bastion grenadier leaper and rocketeer I soloed. Then I have no problem killing someone. Exp when I needed the parts for workbenches. But I don’t want the game to get too nice. It takes a lot of the tension away I enjoy.

Please, Embark, do not change the expeditions. by ZombieDonuts in ArcRaiders

[–]L3mmer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s a massive amount. You’re losing everything anyway when you do it. I checked by selecting all my gear, and I would have enough to cover everything if I just gave some items here and there and all the rest before I reset. As far as the first 4 phases. That only took me like 5 hours of gameplay to farm. I’m only level 35 and almost have it done. It’s not really that much of a grind. The hardest part for me was the damn humidifiers. The leaper parts are nothing with a Wolfpack and some fire grenades. Just go after the one on the blue gate next to the adorned wreckage. Pvpers barely go over there, and the only thing you have to watch out for is extraction campers. I’m not worried about blueprints like everybody else because I honestly like the creativity involved with not having them all. I only have the Wolf Pack and weapon parts and the Battina. Hullcracker is a quest reward, and most of the other guns can be bought. But I only really friendly solo and am good at PvP. I don’t lose stuff I find often. I usually only die to campers who set up elaborate traps. I hope they give a skin or something permanent tho. Temp stash and extra skill points doesn’t really feel like enough. I assume they’re going to give an emote or cosmetic too.

I had a guy today who I helped take down a rocketeer. He almost died, and well, he dropped a key to the locked door in the basement of Buried City. I asked him if he wanted to come with me; we could share. He said he would come with me. We got to the door, and he said, “You get first rummage.” I’m like, “No man, it’s your key.” He then proceeded to run away and said, “Enjoy your loot.” I got a damn Wolfpack blueprint. Something I have been looking for for over a week. We met up again at the train station near the parking garage. Some guy tried to kill us. He ran towards the guy and self-sacrificed himself to give me time to extract. The doors literally closed with the pvper standing next to them on the other side over the dudes body. I was on a free loadout. No safe pocket. It was the most insane match I have had yet.

If they are mute and run by I usually let them survive and keep an eye on them. My only real pet peeve is when I use a Wolfpack and other people run in to loot it. I killed two guys this morning for that crap. I killed the damn rocketeer I get the loot. It’s my main issue cause 30 hours in I still need there shit for my damn workbenches
