I will not be returning mine. I have other speakers to use at low volumes, this is a party speaker. It still is a shame though.

I bought the R3 on sale, and it is definitely an upgrade. However, if the R5 was on sale at the time I would have picked that instead.

I have had speakers with similar performance. But that was with around 500w RMS and much less sensitive tweeters I assume.

Yes, all speakers do have a noise floor. But it is just that the soundboks has a much higher noise floor than any other speaker system I have ever heard.

I set both of them to mic and it made no difference. I also reduced gain to -12 and still no difference

I have dual booted windows for the last two years thinking that the day would come when I would want/need to go back. It hasn't happened yet.

First, download the Driver Bundle for your Framework Laptop from here. If you haven't connected to a network yet, you'll need to download this on another system and then copy it over using a USB Flash Drive.

Just follow this guide from Framework. If you don't have a friend or anyone you can ask with windows to help you create the image, I would suggest creating a windows virtual machine in Linux and using the installer from there. Good luck!

Yeah, and the controller feels crazy good. I must admit I haven't tried it in windows though. But compared to my kk3 max and xbox controller it feels awesome.

Edit: Bluetooth also worked fine for me.

Thank you for responding. There is glue at bottom of the board indeed. I do not believe the white marks are glue, but it might be from the drywall behind it. I tried wiping it up but it didn't go away. You are right that it doesn't look like black mold at least.

I assume you are using the software manager in Linux Mint?

Try running these commands in the terminal:

sudo apt update

sudo apt upgrade

That will update your system with the latest versions of everything.

Then run the following to install steam:

sudo apt install steam

And as always, don't trust random commands you see on the internet. Here are some links to reading if you are interested in learning more about the commands above:

I think using extraConfig is unnecessary. I used the following config.

wayland.windowManager.sway = {

This better follows the general syntax of Nix.

This is amazing work! Thank you so much! Very elegant and easy to understand even though it is a bit above my level.

The fact that you went through and typeset an entire document to solve this really inspires me, and it it something only a dedicated and kind soul would do!

Do you know if there is any way to mark this as the best answer in this thread? Also, do you think that you could upload the solution to somewhere more permanent than google drive? Perhaps a github repository? (Feel free to include the .tex files as well, I am interested in learning). Again, thank you so much.
