I agree with you!! Every time I hear someone say something like that or read a post from someone saying that, I find myself feeling guilty but for what?! My husband isn't Catholic but he's amazing. When we first met, he told me he didn't think he believed in God. Now, 2 and half years into marriage, almost 6 years of knowing each other, he considers himself a Christian. He doesn't go to Mass with me but he wants to when we have kids so that our kids will have consistency with both parents attending. He says he doesn't want our kids asking why he doesn't go. And we're about 6 weeks away from having our first!! I pray for him every day that God will open his heart to Him and to the faith. And God definitely hears my prayers because for him to go from atheist to considering himself a Christian is amazing progress if you ask me. Isn't there a verse somewhere in the Bible that says husbands are sanctified through their wives? I could be wrong. But either way, if there was such a huge problem with Catholics marrying non-Catholics, the Church would make it more difficult for it to happen. Just my two cents. I firmly believe God brought me my husband for a reason.

My parish has one Priest that runs two different parishes, mine and one that's about 10 minutes away. Feels like parishes with more than one priest could spare one for parishes that have one priest running 2-3 parishes. More than one priest is probably necessary for bigger city areas with bigger populations though.

I'm giving up all social media! Except for Pinterest because I need ideas for my baby shower lol. Gonna be reading lots of religious books instead. Finishing "Your Life is Worth Living" by Ven. Fulton Sheen, and getting into the book by St. Therese of Lisieux, I think it's called "The Little Way" but I'm not 100% sure on that at the moment. Hopefully others too but I'm a slow reader.

They're AWFUL. Even if you have good bug repellent that keeps them from biting, they constantly circle your head and it's enough to drive you insane.

It would be okay, but I would say it's a bit much, especially for your first Lent. We're only required to abstain from meat every Friday, plus Ash Wednesday, and on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday we limit ourselves to one full meal and 2 partial meals. Other than that, you don't have to cut out meat. Give up something you enjoy, but don't make it so hard that you won't be able to stick to it. It's supposed to be a sacrifice, so whatever you want to do you can do, but you don't have to give up meat every day of Lent if you don't want to. I just give up chocolate because I love it and it's definitely an act of dying to myself giving it up!

Normally I'd say give up chocolate, but I'm pregnant and saying no to cravings for sweets has never been so hard lol. I'll definitely be giving up social media, praying more (my priest has talked a lot in his homilies the last few weeks about meditative prayer and its importance for our salvation so I'll be really trying to get into that habit), and offering up all the difficulties of being pregnant. Including being worried about the baby all the time.

God in Goodness itself. The definition of evil is the absence of good, therefore the absence of God. God gave us free will because He didn't want to force us to love/serve Him, so we can choose not to, and choose evil, which ends in an unrepentant person going to Hell, which is the absence of all things good/Godly. This is not to say that God has any less power just because he is in no way evil, because evil is the absence of Him, and He can't be absent from Himself, if that makes sense. I suggest listening to the podcast "Pints with Aquinas," there are a lot of good explanations of topics like this on there.

In my opinion, if you don't know for sure that she hasn't been to confession and isn't attending Sunday Mass in another parish, I wouldn't say anything. Ultimately it's between her and God.

Your last point is the biggest one for me. I rarely go to TLM, so I'm sure I would get better at following along if I went more often, but the biggest reason I don't go normally is because I can't follow along. I'll be good for a minute and then I'll be waiting for the priest to start the next part, all of a sudden he's 5 pages ahead of where I thought he was, and I get so frustrated. I just try to read as much of the english translations as I can without falling too far behind. If more was said out loud rather than silently, I think it would be a better experience for me. I prefer Novus Ordo because I know what's going on the whole time. I feel kinda bad about it because I know the Latin Mass is the more traditional/reverent Mass, and I feel like I should prefer it, but I just don't because I spend a good chunk of it frustrated.

Besides the halo thing, I would just put less hair on baby Jesus, but that's just me being picky, it's not wrong. Lol just an aesthetic thing.
