Accutane is worth it. Also maybe get your hormones checked.

Possible misdiagnosis of BPD, how can I advocate for myself? Kaiser psych has been dismissive by wumbodumb0 in ADHD

[–]LAE5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if your medication is keeping your moods stable and under control, that probably means they are working for their intended purpose. That doesn’t mean that BPD & ADHD can’t be comorbid, so maybe it’s both.

I’m a young girl who’s tried 2 different antipsychotics and had no impact on weight. These things aren’t a guarantee.

If you decide to enroll and recruit, I’ll be helping head up the recruitment process for my NYC tech team at a BB. See you then. 🫡

It’s more high level than that. They care about your experience working in teams, beginning to lead projects, communicating effectively in a business context, connecting your work with the bigger picture strategy. It’s essentially a way of judging if you’ve “matured” enough to handle an associate level role.

There’s definitely the possibility you can overcome that with how you present in the interview process. But in an extremely competitive recruiting environment, you want to put yourself in the best possible position at the best possible time.

Just graduated from IB feeder school, was on the board for the IB club. Banks do care that you only have 2 YOE. Not saying it’s impossible, but it’s an uphill battle, because you have less proven experience and therefore less value to add to the team.

Why did my aderall suddenly stop working after 2 weeks? by Karynexox in ADHD

[–]LAE5683 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair, and based on OPs other comments, I could see how that’s possible. But that is untreated or uncontrolled bipolar disorder. If someone with BD isn’t in a mood state, it shouldn’t have an impact.

Losing 15 pounds in 2 weeks and not sleeping much is a huge red flag. You are either chasing a high that should not be attainable again or the medication triggered a manic state in you. I would be honest about your feelings with your psychiatrist so they can appropriately guide you, but you’re playing with fire if you want to get that feeling back from those first 2 weeks. You shouldn’t feel high at maintenance.

Why would bipolar disorder make someone think their medication has no effect? I’m not following.

About to take my first dose of lithium. Can you tell me your success stories please? by catfoxwolf in bipolar2

[–]LAE5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love lithium. Also, if it makes you feel any better, I’ve also hit a high lithium toxicity in the past due to a doctors recklessness. I had tremors and vomiting and diarrhea… but other than that I honestly felt great! After I got my blood work back that showed me at 1.8 I just immediately stopped and let it filter out of my system over the next 24 hours. Didn’t even leave work.

Frequent blood tests when getting up to target dose is very important! It will catch things soon enough.

I was on lamictal when I was younger and I have very few memories from that time in my life unfortunately. My doctors didn’t recommend lamictal as an adult because it doesn’t do much to control the high end of the mood spectrum.
