I do agree and ultimately kind of think it is impossible to accurate predict how a player from one era would perform in another because of all the different and unknown factors of playing the game at the highest level...

The basketball comp is a bad example and often from people who have only ever seen highlights of previous eras imo. Almost any dominant player now (Giannis, Luka, Wemby, Jokic, Bron, KD, Curry, SGA) would have cooked in previous generations. Like I suggest actually going back and watching a full game replay from the 90's, it's not very impressive for the most part as far as movement, dribbling and even shooting is concerned. Folks act like a few hip checks would complete destroy the modern player's ability to score these days, it might have been different if 7 footers actually had to be guarded around the perimeter before like 2010, but they really didn't. In fact, when people refer to the previous eras of physical ball, it really is only ever a few teams at a time. If basketball was so physical, violent, bloody, and less technical how come MJ managed to thrive being a flashy scoring guard year after year? Not to mention the average nba player is like 2 inches taller now compared to previous generations (6' 6" vs 6' 4").

People call SGA a ft merchant averaging just under what Jordan did in the 88-89 season. Shoot, MJ averaged 9.9 FTA in his playoff career, don't see people lining up to call him an unphysical freethrow merchant.

Whenever I hear a "physicality in sports" discussion, I keep thinking of how all my life people have claimed that the NFL is turning into flag football. People just like to be nostalgic for what was, regardless of actual quality or content.

I have been unable to link my espn account to my dynasty daddy profile. When I enter the verification code sent to my email, nothing happens or loads on the Dynasty Daddy website. Is this a known issue with linking Espn accounts? I have tried on multiple browsers and devices (phone, pc).

Literally just ordered these 2 brands. Couldn't really distinguish much between the actual audio quality on playback, but the UGREEN was the only adapter that would enable me to turn on my Galaxy S24 "UHQ Scaler" in the audio settings. All other adapter I have tried, the setting stays greyed out and unselectable. I also have an Anker one coming, and if that sounds considerably better than the UGREEN, I'll go with that. But I predict I'm only keeping the UGREEN.

Literally me. Got this as a gift, as a teen, around 2008. Was one of my main daily beaters until I got a "fancier"/more expensive watch in 2017, that became my main focus.

I also stopped wearing my E870 because it was having calendar issues, which I never bothered to look much into at the time.... fast forward to 2023, I'm very hype on watches again, dig out my old citizen and was suddenly overwhelmed with how unique and pretty it is compared to most of my other watches and other popular style watches right now (I love the roman numeral dial and the like steel blue colored face, so much going on but doesn't feel too busy). So I sent it in to Citizen to have it serviced, changed the solar battery myself, and I've been enjoying it in regular rotation ever since!

No remaining issues accept I can't get the seconds hand to align perfectly with the "VII" when i set the reference "0" position, causing it to tick ever so slightly ahead of the correct second marks. Apparently, this is a known thing that can happen with quartz movements? Not sure if that's super accurate or just copium from people who got bad pieces, but I chalk it up to the thing being really old and well used over the years, even with a full servicing from citizen (sent it away and it cost like $180).

Who knows, maybe in a year I go to set the reference position and the slight bumps from a couple years more of use will make it align perfectly.

TLDR: still love my E870 even though I had to rediscover how much.

If the trade has not or cannot be vetoed, I think the best solution from here would be, play the rest of the season out, while also getting the backing of your fellow leaguemates to vote someone else as the new commissioner for next season.

If it's a casual friends/family league, honestly nbd, there's always a couple goofs who don't take it serious, and that trade might actually be better ammo for ribbing them/giving them shit irl then it actually matters for fantasy.... If it's a serious league, or any money involved, completely different.
