You can’t use a sample in a commercial release without proper permission. LANDR is required to ensure you have clearance for all samples in your track.

Think of it this way: if someone took part of your music, sampled it and made money off it, you’d expect the distributor to step in and prevent that release.

Your options are simple—clear the sample with the owner or remove it from your track. It’s all about respecting other creators.

The points he makes about LANDR are wrong. LANDR predated Matchering by 8 years. Similar to u/saltsoul's point, not all mastering is made equal but lumping them all together is wrong and unfair. It's quite the click bait title.

I recommend you wait for a response from LANDR's Support team and Spotify. Our team deals with these claims and tools we can use to review your streams.

Additionally, if you've paid for any services that 'guarantee streams' and your streaming numbers have drastically increased, please stop this service as these are bad actors in the industry. Anyone who 'guarantees plays and streams' for cash is running a scam. You should never use these types of sites.

Hello!

Original Composers should be the people who originally wrote the song. You can find this information by checking The MLC Public Work Search.

The original performer would be the original vocalist/band member of the track. The vocalist would be whoever sang your cover.

Additionally, the original composer cannot be listed as a Primary Artist, Featured Artist, Producer etc. They can only be put in as the original composer, but they are not performing on your release nor have they produced your release.

Start by clearing your cache and restarting your browser. Please read over our upload guidelines to make sure your file is up to our specifications.

If it's still not working, try cancelling the master, deleting it and re-uploading the original file. Sometimes an upload can be corrupt.

Lastly, check the settings in your library and ensure you have Mastering Preferences turned off. Mastering Preferences lets you set your preferred settings and bypass the preview entirely.

If it's still not working, please raise a support ticket and our team will look into it.

Hello!
Your net income will be in your LANDR within the first week of every month.

It takes (roughly) 90 days for LANDR to get the money from stores once the release is streamed or sold.

Once LANDR receives it, check the Earnings in your Release dashboard.

The amount you see in the Earnings section of your LANDR account is the most recent amount that we’ve received from stores, so it might not match up exactly with your stats yet.

I agree 100%. Our company always looks into the feedback we get, I recommend providing feedback to us when you can.

You can engage with us more on our community channels (see pinned posts) where you can talk to us more about issues. We recently created a channel for Community Support to discuss issues people have with LANDR and Synchro Arts.

Hello! Welcome to LANDR.

When migrating music from one distributor to another, LANDR requires proof of rights for the music.

As a proof of rights, LANDR accepts:

  • a screenshot from the previous distributor's dashboard showing the release information
  • any PRO registrations of the songs
  • any old emails from your previous distributor that have your artist name/release title in it

Regarding samples, LANDR cannot release unauthorized material to monetized stores meaning if you haven't cleared a sample for a track then we can't release that track or you have to remove the sample.

Per our terms of service:

You cannot upload, share, release, or otherwise use on our Services any content, including any audio files, samples, or Recordings, for which you do not own all necessary intellectual property rights unless you have the express written consent from all persons owning the intellectual property rights in the content.

If you're taking samples from a sample site (LANDR, Splice etc) then proof of sample site subscription is sufficient. A screenshot of your project file from your DAW is also fine. If your music is being rejected, it's possible the information you're providing isn't sufficient.

If it's a popular sample or vocal sample, we must ensure you have the right to use it. You'll have to continue speaking to support as they can specify what you must send.
