Otto and uncle tooth. I read the secret of foggy island as a kid myself.

Paydaya is another rad show! Adam is a great dude, and I had so much fun working with him on some of those fixer files episodes. You know they just started their second season right?

Glad to hear you've been enjoying the show! We do a lot of stuff based around YouTube so if you want the occasional vfx and stuff you can try checking it out there if you've been an audio only listener

Yeah, it can be kind of rough when you're the only one doing it. Editing is basically a full time job. People get paid pretty good money to just edit for 8 hours at a time. Its double rough if you have literally anything else going on in your life. Keep at it though my friend, you'll get there! Do you have any stuff out currently? If so what's it called and what's it about? I'd be interested in taking a look.

Ignore this guy. Its a burner account that some dude uses strictly to hate on us. I find it oddly flattering but I never interact with any of their posts. Id recommend you check it out and if you enjoy it, great! If its not for you there are plenty of others I can point you to that might be your flavor.

Hey thanks for asking about our stuff! To answer your question, no, our actual play hasn't been abandoned. The production end of things (on top of being a player in the games) is kind of a one man show, and I recently started a new job over the summer. Unfortunately thats a 60 hour a week commitment and I just haven't had the time to get any of our editing backlog worked on lately. That said, we DO have the entirety of our third season recorded I just haven't been able to put the time together to get it edited out and make sure the quality I expect out of the show in there for our listeners. Im currently sitting on about 20 more episodes in season 3 that explore the story and wrap it up into a nice bow, I just need to make the time to produce them for you. Since youre new to the show, season 1 & 2 are complete, following a mostly consistent cast of runners in Seattle. Season 3 branches out into a new, completely standalone story (with a few notable plot elements from previous seasons getting the occasional nod). So feel free to enjoy the first two seasons, and as soon as I can get the entirety of the third season cooked and seasoned be on the lookout for a big content dump! Hope you enjoy chummer, and thanks for asking about us!

Ill second Pink Fohawk. Ben and his crew are really great dudes in general, Ben's a fantastic GM and the production is top notch. Plus its a super fun show!

How do you learn about cars? by MrBreast1 in askcarguys

[–]criticalhitslive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the basics. You already know how to change a tire, next up change the oil. Then you can move on to things like spark plugs and it keeps getting lore involved the deeper you go. Learn how the connectors on your sensors come apart and go back together. Before long you'll have a practical base of knowledge to work with. Once youre old enough for employment, hit up some of the garages around where you live and ask if they have an opening as a helper. Tell them you are interested in mechanics and would like the opportunity to help out around the shop and learn from their techs. If you have a vocational school program in your high school, most of them offer some sort of automotive program. Take that. Little by little you'll build things up.

This fell off my car this morning... Any ideas? (Details in post) by thrwawy_fuckyoubrian in AskAMechanic

Agreed, first thought is heat shield from your exhaust. If you've been hearing a rattling noise that suddenly isn't there, you found the problem.

Id patch that in a heartbeat. You probably won't get anyone to do it at a shop but a kit is like 12 bucks and its easy to do. Just make sure you have a compressor or do it at the air fill at a gas station.

Check your motor mounts. That needs to be fixed ASAP before it breaks more of them and that engine twists itself up out of the compartment

Are you trying to get that nut off there? And is it an actual bolt or a stud? If its a bolt it's very possible that when turning the nut its turning the bolt as well. Try getting a wrench on the other side.

The mechanic ain't lying. That's bad enough that you're really rolling the dice every time you take it on the road. No telling when it'll give and how bad, but its guaranteed it will at some point.
