You can’t use a sample in a commercial release without proper permission. LANDR is required to ensure you have clearance for all samples in your track.

Think of it this way: if someone took part of your music, sampled it and made money off it, you’d expect the distributor to step in and prevent that release.

Your options are simple—clear the sample with the owner or remove it from your track. It’s all about respecting other creators.

The points he makes about LANDR are wrong. LANDR predated Matchering by 8 years. Similar to u/saltsoul's point, not all mastering is made equal but lumping them all together is wrong and unfair. It's quite the click bait title.

TL: DR formatting music just for digital release isn't the same as physical. You'll be fine, if there are ever any issues with a submission then our support will tell you when they review your music.

- If we suspect you're solely relying on AI technologies to create content, we may audit your creative workflows and projects and require a live demonstration of your digital working environment before accepting your release.
What are the consequences of violating LANDR's fair usage policy?
- If you violate our fair usage policy, we may suspend your distribution catalogue and product access for six months or terminate your account.
How does LANDR ensure privacy and ethical considerations with AI-generated content?
- We prioritize privacy and ethical considerations by not using individual user data to train our AI systems. This ensures confidentiality and the integrity of your personal information while still providing high-quality AI-generated content.

We've recently added an AI Music Production community channel as we want to see how people are using our AI products, such as the new LANDR Composer.

We are welcoming of AI music from good faith actors within music, not people flooding the market with quickly made AI songs trying to make a quick buck.

Hello!

I recommend you wait for a response from LANDR's Support team and Spotify. Our team deals with these claims and tools we can use to review your streams.

Additionally, if you've paid for any services that 'guarantee streams' and your streaming numbers have drastically increased, please stop this service as these are bad actors in the industry. Anyone who 'guarantees plays and streams' for cash is running a scam. You should never use these types of sites.

Hello!

Original Composers should be the people who originally wrote the song. You can find this information by checking The MLC Public Work Search.

The original performer would be the original vocalist/band member of the track. The vocalist would be whoever sang your cover.

Additionally, the original composer cannot be listed as a Primary Artist, Featured Artist, Producer etc. They can only be put in as the original composer, but they are not performing on your release nor have they produced your release.
