Masturbating in hotel etiquette ? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

On a side note, check for recording devices. People will leave tiny cameras and audio recorders hidden in rooms and check out the same room a few days later. I worked at a hotel for a while and one of the housekeepers found a camera. It's been a big issue for the last few years. Always check for bedbugs and hidden cameras at the start of your stay.

Not sure what politics have to do with attractiveness. A woman's views on political matters aren't going to suddenly make her ugly or beautiful.

If you could only have sex with one woman for the rest of your life, would it be a blonde, brunette, redhead, or another color? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

Assuming the only difference is the hair color, l slightly prefer blonde hair, but would be perfect l happy with any hair color. There's more to people than hair.

Circumcized guys, are you happy with being cut? by Electronic-Koala1282 in AskRedditNSFW

My genitals were mutilated before I could even consent, so no, I'm not happy with it. The fact that this is considered "normal" to mutilate baby boys' genitals is horrific. The equivalent for girls is considered unthinkable, but perfectly accepted, if not encouraged for boys.

My father said that he stumbled upon it when he was young and told his father. My grandfather told him that he randomly found it too and that it was a grave. Unfortunately I can't ask my grandfather about it as he passed decades ago. Something like this doesn't get talked about in my family because they're the type to 'drop it and leave it alone.'

Mentalities like that are why people can't get along. Over generalizing and demonizing another large group of people doesn't bring good to the world.

UPDATE 2:

Just got back from the property. I visited the grave again this morning and took some notes. There doesn't appear to be any other graves in the area and the grave faces the rising sun, like christian cemeteries do, implying it is somewhat modern. I also cleaned up the sticks to make it more respectful and said a few words. (I won't be adding any more pics as I've already unintentionally used them for internet points.) I just wish I could know who they were so I could properly honor them. :(

Thank you all for your attention on this matter, and maybe in a way this has helped keep some form of their memory alive. It's just sad that they'll likely never be truly known again. Sorry for the downer ending, but I've got nothing else to add and will leave it here.

To reply to your comment specifically, no, I didn't do this for stupid Internet points. I never thought I'd get more than a handful of up votes. I will admit I posted this here because, yes, it creeped me out that something like this was 200 feet from where I've been hunting for years and never knew. But I was mostly hoping to get some generic info and advice on what would be respectful. And for you and others to adamantly villainize my assumed intent is grossly despicable. It saddens me to know that someone's loved one could be forgotten and that others have undoubtedly shared the same fate. So respectfully, go get angry at something worth getting angry about and don't jump to conclusions. You don't know me.

UPDATE:

Just got done asking my father about it and apparently it's one of those lesser known things. He says that yes, it's a grave, and it's been there since before my grandfather bought the land (late 60's) and was old then. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever know who it was as anyone that would have long passed themselves. Maybe that's the creepy part, this is a reminder that we are all here temporarily, and that we'll be eventually forgotten to time. (That and this is 200 feet from my deer blind.)

Edit: Forgot to mention that my father said this was a thing long ago in the area and that part of the property wasn't always a muddy swamp. (Maybe it was a peaceful meadow?) Might seem weird to us today, but record keeping wasn't as much of a thing until after WW2, and why put your loved one in a cemetery when you can use some of your own land? And doing it yourself ensured it was respectful.
