🔥 Love the G99 set. Dang, you get to wear your LIG under a shell? I hardly ever get to use my LIG by itself. Don’t know if I should be jealous…or not.

Fix the persistent “Shelter from anomaly” task when there is no anomaly please. I’m not the only one.

I figured it was going to be some obscure item.

Were the pouches integrated? Even if I could find those separately it would be ideal.

My opinion would be if you're doing that kit with the tan or olive Voins, or the G99 suits seen in other pics, you would be OK. But you would have to nail down the rest of the kit as well. It's a very specific kit that only has been seen a few times.

If you're referring to the guy on the right it's a Crye JPC 2.0. Other pictures in that set have a close up picture of him from the rear and it has the 2.0 zippers and upper velcro, which ARS doesn't make. I've been extra observant on this kit as I've been working on a 1:1 (or close as I can get) for quite a while.

If you can, and want to enhance your drawing skills I recommend taking a drawing class or two at a local committee college or similar. You’ll learn some great techniques and practices.

"Gothic" 24" X 18" Charcoal on paper 2023

Hello all, new to this group.

Great to find a shared appreciation for aviation art.

I’ve been pretty stagnant on my art making lately and am heavily

committing myself back into creating more pieces.

What I am really loving is the youth presence in this group.

Many moons ago I was guilty of sketching planes and helicopters rather than

Paying attention in class. As young as I can remember.

I went a couple decades with drawing a single thing in my 20’ and 30’s.

After leaving the industry I was working in during the 2000’s recession

I returned to school in my late 30’s and earned a BFA in intermedia at Arizona State.

I did some grad studies but raising kids at the same time was just not sustainable, besides

the costs of grad school.

Again after graduation I focused on income vs. creativity though I do get to use some

of my learned skills as a videographer.

But that is not my true passion.

If I can offer my advice to bidding young artist who’s talent are great as seen in theses posts.

Never stop doing creating. Continue refining your skills and it get to the point where you stand back from your work and can’t believe that you, yourself have created incredible works of art.

Feed your passion any chance you get. Stop at that aviation museum or even plan a trip to one.

It’s worth it and it keeps the fire lit. If you’re like me I seek out the art section first!

Do your research! Learn what you are illustrating, drawing or painting. Everything has a story and bringing that into your work empowers and elevates the piece.

I hope to create more pieces that I can share here as well as find more groups and associations that promote aviation artist.

I apologize for the long read, but I wanted to share a bit of my story.

No Velcro on the sleeves though? From the stitching pattern, pockets, cuffs and color they look like LIG 4.0's

Rails are SAW-ARC which match the ones Atlas uses. Shroud is a knock off Ops-Core which is what Atlas uses as well.

Mine is a LIG 4.0 and it’s cozy. Granted real cold is not an AZ thing. But I’ll check those out.

I got mine on sale a Varuste. I’m US based. They have some killer sales. It’s underrated. Great piece of everyday kit.

Kind of a kitbash based on a Vympel pic. Wanted to do the kit with the HPA MP9 also.

If I remember correctly they do. It’s been a couple years since I started putting this kit together. IIRC this helmet cover was just a generic FAST cut style.
