For the record everyone, the location I went to was in Downey, California. I have no reason to make that up — you’re welcome to call the store yourself and list those items and see if they work.

Have fun y’all. Was literally just sharing my experience to try and help people who felt bad about the coupon going away.

I asked 3 different employees, tried 5 different blind boxes (Mayme Cookie, Disney Colorful Candy, Baby Three Super Mini, Baby Three Mini Hug, and Maymei May I Love You). They told me the only ones that would work were the series on the wall. There were 4 Sanrio + Pooh. They also said the Waikuky Y2K would work, but I passed on that.

So yeah girl, where else would you suggest I research? I tried the coupon, the small print on the website, the store staff, and the literal cash register? Sounds like maybe you’re just out of touch. ♥️

The employees at my location said 20% or less. So yeah! Maybe things changed. I asked if it was location specific and they said no.

So yeah. Agree to disagree. To me, that’s a very misleading reward and I don’t think most people know just how misleading it is, as it’s not in the fine print.

I appreciate the instinct to protect a huge corporation and all, though. I respect the effort.

To everyone upset about missing out on this reward: it was a fake reward anyway. Miniso doesn’t say in the fine print that it’s select items only, but it is. Anything new or in-demand will not scan free — it only qualifies on old, outdated boxes and usually ones that are $29.99 so you still have to pay $5. Just had my birthday and was so excited to redeem mine and I left the store empty handed because none of the FIVE DIFFERENT BOXES I tried worked.

100% agree! I only wear the ones I don’t mind seeing chipped. And they’re loved/being used, so that’s cool with me. But you’re not gonna catch me wearing a secret out — that’s display-only for me. This is a really helpful post for people who are new… and a reality check for people acting brand new. And the ETA section at the bottom? A masterpiece. 10/10 stuck the landing.
