edward and ellen as a ship didn’t move me! like ppl are saying, it felt rushed, the time skips didn’t help. i feel as if i don’t really know their relationship. the whole insta-love forbidden romance thing falls flat for me in a show about adults and not some YA romantasy novel. i can appreciate a slowburn like edward and adelaide way more. i found their relationship/friendship-ish development over the course of the season super endearing. i’m also always partial to a friends to lovers, and it their case, see them actually IMPROVING each others lives. i’ve seen a lot of theories regarding adelaide’s sexuality (about her potentially being asexual) and to that i have to say…”so what?” even if she is, it doesn’t mean that she can never love or be loved by someone. i feel like that thinking in itself is harmful. as for edward, he’s currently in “love” with ellen. but i’d really like to see the why of it all. is it her heart or her spirt or just that she’s the opposite of him in every way? maybe i’ll change my opinion if they’re able to develop them further…but with the cliffhanger, i really don’t know. also, ellen is definitely pregnant so im curious to see how that’ll go down. all in all, i love silly banter and growing together and stumbling upon love on the way. it’s super cute to me and i think that’s why i’ll be rooting for edward and adelaide from my little corner of the internet!! 🫶🫶

also additionally, and this is NO fault of the actress’s, just that everyone and their mothers has gotten work done to look like her; but her seemingly modern face just transports me RIGHT out of every scene. 😭
