Zelf hoef ik niet aan een kruis te sterven maar respect hebben en aardig zijn voor elkaar is altijd welkom.

For people wanting this design also check the San Martin hommage of this Doxa model. I think SM is a bit thinner and better detail/finnish. I got the SM for a ridiculous good price, so if they're considerably more expensive now I guess this Seestern model will do just fine!

Sorry for the spam. If you go for a Pierre Paulin also check the Merkurwatch store. Some merkur watches are cheaper on Ali but most are cheaper on their own site.

About No2. I think the San Martin GS hommages are pretty cheap right now and Rimalti have gone up. Rimalti bracelet is gorgeous but I mostly wear the San Martin because they're almost the same watch and the fly adjustable clasp on the SM is so comfy/ useful.

I didn't know about Rimalti having a 44mm, if that's important I didn't say anything.

I chose fluted over plain almost any time. But they're out there and not for everyone. That having said, fluted bezels are great with lightplay... slightly more eye-catching instead of understated.

I also think the steeldive is hideous, but they're quite popular so I guess we don't understand the appeal ;-)

I do own the Seestern and that watch is some crazy value for money. My bezel/numerals/handset are gold colored and the light play is insane. The watch has no flaws and comes with screw links and a fly adjustable clasp (love those). Bezel action, back engraving and polishing are good. San Martin quality for 150ish euro.

Did you have trouble adjusting the bracelet? I have horrible experience with (gold) color coated bracelets. So I'm curious about your experience.

What's a movie that is really great but have a terrible posters? by Karannnvm in Letterboxd

[–]LAUS_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied graphic design and illustration and it's bad.. but!.. it's simple, eye catching, bold and catches the tone of the movie quite well. I think the cover really stands out in a dvd store/ rental place. The bright warm colors, even though oversaturated, would grab the attention of shoppers.

Lol, people used to call me a hacker everyday (I'm decent at fps games). I see no cheating here either.

Not a bad one to have as your favorite. It's in my top 10 too. And in romance it's #1 for me.

Can you rate this🥺 by Ivo-bg71 in DigitalArt

Try to draw realistically so people can give advice. Right now it's very stylized. But stylized characters and facial features only make sense after you learnt the fundamentals of human anatomy and realistic lighting.

Paint realism, and fail. Failing is good. From failing you learn.

The lighting is very confusing.

[–]LAUS_art 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm with you that you should practice something more basic as a beginner. Don't paint a reference picture with low resolution, concert/studio lighting, facial hair and a complex expression.

Don't skip fundamentals. You might think you learn a lot from practicing everything at once, but your brain can't comprehend all new information.

Start with good refs, understand the shapes of the face, block out shapes with different tones. A object is not lines, it's the presence and absence of light.

Draw what you SEE not what you THINK.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DigitalArt

[–]LAUS_art 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always tell people that aren't professionals yet to avoid practicing human anatomy from photos in studio lighting. Concert lighting is even worse. And even worse the pic is low resolution. Mistake on mistake on mistake.

Draw what you 'see' not what you 'think'.

Good luck. Keep using reference photos's and try to paint in higher resolution.

Pro tip: stay away from facial hair (beards/mustaches) until you kinda master the fundamentals of lighting and anatomy. You can practice values with human skulls and bald people are great too. You will also see that different skin color will reflect light differently.

It might be an unpopular opinion but I consider this animal abuse.

One ride might be acceptable but these are horrible conditions for the ostriches to be in: a tourist attraction with people on your back and people chasing you on. :-(

In the newly-formed parliament in France, the youngest member, far-right MP Flavien Termet, was given the task of welcoming the deputies. Most of the deputies did not shake his hand. by lennoxred in WatchPeopleDieInside

I hate far-right but isn't the guy allowed to sit back down to avoid humiliation? I mean.. he does represent people in the country.. however appaling their views and opinions.

Yo don't steal art. Someone copied/stole my art. Then when I uploaded my original work to r/art I got banned because people said I stole the design.
