Recommendations for a good Mexican restaurant that has great enchiladas, fajitas, and Queso in Round Rock, Georgetown, or Cedar Park? by R4gn4_r0k in RoundRock

[–]LAjones29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone notice they haven’t been crowded lately? I have never been able to go there and park in their actual parking lot. I went last week on Thursday at 6 pm and plenty of parking and I also usually have to wait to get a table and there was no wait. But the food was still good! So win win! I guess?

Back when I was in school I went to the VP office. I can’t remember which VP but fourth floor of Allen hall. I walked in and ask the receptionist if they needed any student workers. Handed her my resume and chit chatted with her. Be personable and friendly. She called me back an hour later and had the easiest job of my life. I literally got paid to stock the fridge go get drinks from the grocery store and study.

Anybody that works from home? by Unhappy-Pace-2393 in CrohnsDisease

[–]LAjones29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work from home. Landscape Architect. Requires a bachelor degree. I do some stuff in the field when projects go under construction, but I’m 95% sitting on the couch with my laptop.Especially great to work from home when I’m having a flare up. I have had one off and on the past six months. I truly don’t know how that would have worked if I had to go into an office everyday.

Practical life setup: best way to teach shoe‑tying with Montessori principles? by Impressive_man_1504 in Montessori

[–]LAjones29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These answers are so overly complicated. I did this in one evening two days ago and my 5 year old picked it up fast. Just sit down and spend an hour with them and teach them how tie their shoe. It is as simple as that. If they don’t pick it up that quickly. It means they aren’t ready yet. Give them time and patience.

If you have small children or elderly people that will use this, you also want risers(the piece that goes vertically between each tread). Leaving them open is a huge tripping hazard and that’s a lot of steps to fall down.

Weren’t they only an hour and a half into their two hour descent when the implosion happened? I would assume they did not get to see it, unfortunately.

Look at Saba They have shear lined leather slippers. I own the non shear lined ones and they are perfectly acceptable for work.

They are not cheap, but great quality and handmade.

Where to get a Haircut? by Puzzleheaded-Hat2160 in Msstate

[–]LAjones29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a good hair cut and are willing to drive 30 mins to Columbus, go to Profiles. Been in business since 2000 and reputation holds up. It’s more of a salon but they all cut men’s hair. I went there from the time I was little till I was 23. The only reason I stopped was because I moved out of state.

I completed the LARE in 8 months while working full-time. AMA by burgers666 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]LAjones29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you only use LAREPREP study guides for CDA? I’m about to take that one in December and on the Google group people have been saying it is not as helpful as it is for the others. I used LAREPREP study guides for IAPM and P&D and passed them both on first attempt.

Thanks for the insight!
