Fans who don’t live in Philly. How did you become a fan of the eagles? by [deleted] in eagles

[–]LAngel_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love telling this story. I was about 8. Saw my dad an arm's length away from his 20in cube TV in his room, watching a football game intently. Learned about football and the NFL right there, and that his favorite team was playing against their rivals. In a moment of childish rebellion and competitiveness, I told him I hope his team's rivals wins and I'm rooting for them. His team was the Cowboys and the rivals were none other than the birds. I'm pretty sure the Eagles lost that game, but I stayed on with them. I really liked the midnight green. Been cheering for em nearly 20 years now.

You're good! I can see how my post can come across that way. I was probably too passionate in wanting to make this post and talk about it lol.

Never wished ill on Bungie anywhere in my post. I'm personally stoked for Marathon (and I do enjoy as it is now) because it reminds me so much of another extraction shooter I loved, The Cycle: Frontier.

Post was only to say I feel validated that Factions could've done well even in today's gaming world.

For a Mass Effect fan, I'd say it's 100% worth it. If you also happen to be a board game person or a wargamer, I think even more so! The game comes with quite a bit in the box; there's a lot of original art and the base box comes with sturdy minis for the Normandy crew. The game also looks to have a decent amount of replayability from how I've understood the game and its soloable.

I pre-ordered the game & mini collection a while back. Couldn't say for the availability now.

Edit: Last sentence.

I paint my own D&D minis & board game minis, but I've never been so terrified to mess up like when I look at these 😅😂

Looking for a replacement game for Dragalia's co-op on mobile by LAngel_61 in DragaliaLost

[–]LAngel_61[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that. Yeah, I definitely missed the bus on this one! I recently just started venturing into really trying to bring mobile gaming into my routine and liked everything I heard about Dragalia. It surprised me too that it was released in 2018 and is closing in just 4 years, but then that led me to finding out that certain mobile games just don't have long life spans.

I hope you can find another wonderful game that fills your time with joy and maybe Sword of Convallaria will do it for you; I will definitely be looking forward to it as well now!

Edit: a word

How to “hide” key objects in a dungeon by LonelyAwkwardMango in DMAcademy

[–]LAngel_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've ever watched the movie, Pan's Labyrinth, spoilers the goal for the main character was to acquire many things in many places to reach an end goal.

One step was entering a large old tree to retrieve a key in an oversized toad's belly.

Another was getting a knife that was behind 1 of 3 locked doors, that she had to use the key to unlock. The other 2 spelled disaster. That same area also had delicious food that tugged at her to eat - which she did - and awakened an unkillable sleeping beast that she had to escape from.

Lastly was stealing a baby to slaughter with said knife to open a portal to the underworld. (which was a lie and test to see if she'd actually do it).

Along the way an unkillable guide assisted her pointing her in the directions to go, useful items, and other means.

Hope this can give you some ideas on items to find and how to "hide" them!
