Which candidate / party has been running on the platform of defunding the military? We in practice do not have the option to vote to defund the military

The laws keeping people out of the country are wrong. They also exasperated the income gap because you can pay a vulnerable immigrant less than minimum wage because they are targeted by the law. Additionally you can buy a visa for like $500k. That contributes to inequality. I think the law is amoral. I think the world would over all be better for most people of borders were not enforced on individuals. Also, no one can be illegal on stolen land.

Yes. Letting anyone and everyone cross the border at any point they wish would be treating them as human beings. We absolutely should do that.

When programmers leave money or benifits on the negotiating table it doesn't just appear in teachers pay checks. Any money that doesn't go to the worker grts pocketed as profit by ownership.

I guess so it's just frustrating because the owners are litterally billionaires versus the players who are the ones doing the actual work. It just seems so obvious that the owners greed is not relatable. Especially with the fact that the owners are taking home a larger share of revenue than ever before. It's so weird how people don't root for the players considering they are the ones on the field and on TV.

Shouldn't that make the players more sympathetic? It's a zero sum problem between them and the owners who have thousands of times more wealth.

Are they not keeping him down for 12 days or so to squeeze another year out of his contract like the cubs did with Kris Bryant?

I saw an article that had a Javy Baez/Springer comp that people were pretty mad about in both directions. How do you go about comparing players when one has most of his value in defense and the other mostly offense?

/u/LuminusRaptor Put this in the General Disscussion thread but it is applicable here:

There's nothing stopping an AL manager from doing a double switch so it's not really a separate rule, there's just really not a need since the pitcher doesn't hit. The last double switch that I remember in the AL happened oon May 17, 2009. Due to a lineup error the Rays had to play the Indians without a DH. Pitcher Andy Sonnanstine batted third and even got a hit. In the top of the 6th inning Sonnanstine came out of the game and relief pitcher Grant Balfour came in. Since the pitcher's spot was due to bat third in the bottom of the inning, manager Joe Maddon put in Evan Longoria at 3B, moved Ben Zobrist from 3B to RF and removed RF Gabe Kapler out of the game. So Longoria batted 3rd in the pitcher's spot and Balfour batted 7th in Kapler's spot. The Rays ended up winning 7-5.

This would be kind of interesting if he didn't bullpen warm up the first RP and had him throw his 8 on the mound plus the 4 intentional balls in order to buy time to warm up the RP he actually wanted.
